The back pressure on the suction side should be around 65-70 psi with R-22. Make sure the condenser coil is clean and that the condenser fan is working ok.

Also be sure the indoor filter is clean and that fan is running on high speed.

Could be a burst high pressure hose. You need to remove as much trim as necessary to see the leak and identify the parts needed.

Power hood parts tend to be expensive due to the low volume production and the unrealistic profit margins so it is better to avoid dealer parts and use specialist hydraulic suppliers. A few years ago a dealer wanted £900 for a hose but I was able to have the hose repaired to a good standard for £96...

Compressor won't engage

filling an ac system by the can is begging for major costly problems
it is added by pressure in gauges attached to the compressor
the reality is that ac systems do not need added gas unless there is a leak and you have a big hole somewhere

Check freon pressure while running on low side. Low pressure will cause compressor not to engage.

My fridge side out the blue is freezing. All

I had the same problem with mine a few years ago. After two thermostat replacements and still having the problem, the third technician out explained that if you blocked the vent on the inside of the refrigerator, (the shelf below meat drawer, left side) it could cause freeze up. Sure enough, haven't had a problem since.

I have a 20 year old furnace the transformer went took it off a year ago forgot the wiring , need a wiring diagram

The transformer is for the low voltage side of your furnace, you should be able to take the door off of the furnace and follow the wiring schematic on the inside of the door to wire it back correctly.

Air conditioner is frosting up. Air temperature outside is not below fact it is more like 75, bnut inside because of the humidity it is around 80. it is less than a year old and only ran for 3...

Frost is caused by the refrigerant pressure being too low on the low pressure side of the system. That is, the compressor has more ability than the cold coil is using up. This can be caused by insufficient air flow over the cold coil or a shortage of refrigerant.

Insufficient air flow can be caused by a dirty coil, filter, or blower wheel, or collapsed ducts, to name a few. It is most likely that some of the refrigerant has escaped and the leak needs to be repaired and the refrigerant topped up to the right amount. You'll need to use the proper gauges, a good thermometer, and read the chart that is glued inside the access door on the condenser, or...check for any available repairs that are free because of your warranty.

I did know of a Sears 5,000 BTU window air that was simply designed wrong, but that was many many years ago.
