Question about LG W2453V-PF 24" LCD HD Monitor

Open Question

LG W2453V monitor. I occasionally am getting a windows failure message when on internet. Screen looses resolution and goes to a solarized image. Message asks to save current info and reboot system to correct. This only occurs randomly from time to time on internet only. I have no other problems with monitor when not on internet. Driver inspection confirms dirver is current and up to date. Is this a problem with XP Pro or is there a driver problem. any assistance would be appreciated thanks.

SOURCE: MONITOR RESOLUTION PROBLEMS

This is a limitation of your video card. First, make sure you have the most up to date graphics driver available for the video card that you have. If that doesn't help, then you will need to add or replace the video card.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

SOURCE: Flatron L1953S Goes to power saving mode while playing..

I had the same problem with my LG Flatron (not the same model as your one). I fixed it by connecting both the digital and analogue cables from the pc. Presumably, the problem occurs because the monitor is not receiving a digital signal.

If you get half of the screen darker, remember that LCd monitor have 2 neon lamp at each extremity of the LCD, when one goes out you get this problem. it is possible to replace the LCD neon lamp, I did it many time, but you need to tear all the monitor appart and be carefull not to break any glass while doing so.

Monitor's resolution need to be increased, how?

Hi

You don't say which operating system you are using.

The monitor resolves images across a fixed range of resolutions and resfresh rates.

It is the resolution of the graphics card or graphics adapter that can be changed, not that of the monitor.

Right click on empty space on your desktop > properties > settings.

Left click and hold on the slider and slide to the right in stages.

Each resolution change offers you a test page to accept or reject.

When satisfied Apply > Yes > Ok.

To reset the Refresh Rate:

Properties > settings > Advanced > Refresh Rate.

Then restart your computer.

Be careful not to exceed the resolution/refresh rate range of your monitor (1280 x 1024) / 75.0 Hz because if you do, when you restart the computer, the monitor will be unable to resolve the image and you will get a blank screen and/or an Out Of Range error message.

An out of range problem might only be resolved by using a different monitor to reset the resolution back to within the range of the preferred monitor.

Hope this helps

I am tring to connect my dell laptop wit intel 935 to my LG tv. I keep getting "invalid forma" message on tv. no images. Any suggestions?

You need to change the resolution on the laptop for the TV.
  1. Right click on your Laptop's desktop screen, and select Display properties, or Properties (depending on what O/S you are running)
  2. Select the Settings tab if you are in XP, or select Screen Resolution if you are in Vista or 7.
  3. You should now see the settings for setting the Display resolution for your Native Monitor and your LG TV (the TV must be plugged in to your laptop in order to see it in the Display resolution settings)
  4. Set your resolution to a lower resolution, e.x. 800x600, 1024x768, etc.

When I Increase the Resulotion 1027 X 768 then display a message box " Inpur not support" and move arround slowly on the screen . my Motherboad is Mercury i installed the vga but problem is same...

This means, that your operating system is not set to the recommended resolution of your monitor. Your monitor has a "fixed" resolution where the image will look best. You can change the solution in Windows XP if you right-click on a free space of your desktop, then choose "Properties". In the new window, that comes up, select the rightmost tab. There you can use the slider to adjust your resolution. Just try some different resolutions until the message disappears. If you use Windows Vista or Windows 7 you can access the resolution window by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "Screen Resolution".

I have upto now been using my LG Flatron L1919S monitor as a tv with a separate tuner. today i replaced it with an LCD tv and was going to use the monitor for my computer. however when i connected it up...

It means your PC video output resolution is too high for the LG monitor to display (your old monitor (CRT) can handle higher resolution than this LG LCD monitor), you need to set the PC video resolution to native resolutionof this monitor which is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz. You may have to use the old monitor (CRT) to set the resolution to 1280 x 1024@60Hz, then hook up the LCD monitor.

This is more likely an issue with you video card than your monitor, do all the monitors you have tested operate at the same resolution and refresh rate? It sounds like the LG monitor is running at a higher resolution and refresh rate which is causing addition load to be placed on your video card causing it to crash

Computer screen goes into "digital power saving mode"

You should be able to adjust the settings on the monitor to prevent it from going into power save mode, or at least to delay how long it takes before it goes into power save mode. Press the menu button and look for settings that might disable or change power save mode.

Also, does your desktop/PC display show anything before the monitor goes into power save mode? If nothing comes up, its possible that you have a loose VGA connection or that your video card/motherboard are defective in some ways. Try using a different monitor.

If the other monitor works fine with your computer, try changing/lowering the screen resolution. If in XP right-click on the desktop and go to Properties, and select the tab for display settings and adjust the resolution. If in Vista/Win7, right-click the desktop and select Screen Resolution/Display Settings and adjust it there. Then check and see if your newer monitor works on it.

If the other monitor also doesn't show any display, most likely the problem is either with your video cable or your PC's video card/motherboard, not the monitor.

Hope that helps. Good luck
