Question about Cell Phones

Open Question

I have a samsung sch-r860 and accidentally switched it from Nam1 to Nam2. Now it's locked. I tried a bunch of unlock codes and they didn't work. Now it won't let me enter any unlock codes. It's completely blocked me out. It says that it needs an hour to re-set or something but I let it sit for hours and it still won't let me entery any unlock codes. Help!

SOURCE: cant unlock my phone

If you know your original lock code, take it in to your service provider, each code is diffrent and can only be programed manually, if you dont know your original lock code you will have to sacrific all info pics, mess, numbers, etc. by a reset... I can guide you through the steps to erase all if you lost your Unlock code, or switch back to nam1 if you know your lock code, ( when you switch back, if security is on automatic lock, password is required) intial programing code is not your Unlock code.

Think it is the last four digits of your mobile number.

All I did was call 1-888-987-4357 they ask for a hex # which is on the back of ur phone and your information like where u live and stuff and they put u on hold for a while so be patient bc after u get off hold they will ask u to enter codes and one of them they give u will work and there ya go lol ur phone can be used again (hey!! If u have already had this happen before and u had to call customer service for a code it will not work the second time) so if u see anybody else with this problem let them know this

SOURCE: changed nam1 to nam2 on

Well by now you probably already solved this problem. This is for future references of anyone else who come across this. The steps are easy and simple.
1st, dial #43574357*
2nd, u should be at a device info menu. select system info.
3rd, your password is the last 4 digits of your MDN number.

now u can access your phone and change back to NAM1

Samsung sch-u350 been switched from nam2 to nam1 now completely locked out help

You can try to dial *228 and let it program and it should default to your last 4 digit of your number. If that does not work then the only option is go to a local shop that flashes phones and have them read out the code for you.

I recently switched my NAM for NAM1 to NAM2 at first everything was fine it rebooted and everything but at start up it asked me for a four digit unlock code i was like what the heck i dont have an unlock...

the default is always one of these code try them all the last four digits of the phonenumber last programmed in the phone aka your number or 9999,1234,4321,0000,1111 if none of those work you can go the retail store for a flash they hook it to the computer and push software to the phone to correct the issue it takes five mins and its free its a common issue for them to correct if you change your lock code from the default in the future always set up a dummy contact with it in there so that you can easily look it up also please vote for me I'm trying to work my way up to expert level and I cant without your vote please

Switched to NAM2 and do not know the lock code.

Dial *22899 and press SEND to program the phone.
after it has finished downloading the programming information, the phone will reset.
The Lock code will now be set to the last 4 digits of your phone number.
when you have finished, be sure to switch back to NAM1 and dial *22899 again to re-program it.
