Question about Denon AVR-2802

Suddenly after 8 years there is no sound coming out of my Denon AVR 2802 Amp. The inputs are right it is on Auto to pick up digital inputs and none of the inputs are working, really annoying. I have heard the "click" after I turn on as usual to know it is ready but nothing. Help please

Actually, Denon used a thermal fuse in the primary of the power transformer. Have a tech check the primary winding and see if it's open. if so , have it bypassed

Check out for audio amplifier, touch the integrated circuit o transistor for overheating, if no heat inside, visually check some solder loose, check the supply voltage going to power amplifier, touch the audio input if there will be a sound produce while touching, if there is no effect change the component parts deffective

If DIGITAL sign on the display blink, it mean the DSP board is defective. probably the DSP itself

Try doing a factory reset by turning off main power switch.hold down speaker a and b buttons while turning on main power switch ,display will flash 3 time s then release buttons,this then returns unit to factory default settings.

try to reset. Unplug the unit, press and hold speaker A and speaker B buttons and plug the unit in outlet. If doesn't help, the unit may have a problem with microprocessor or dsp boad and need to be serviced at a repair shop.

After connecting the Wii cables, connect a video cable to the "monitor out" connection to a compatible input on the TV.

Component inputs are for video only, and when connected through a receiver then the television also must have a video input coming to it from the video out from the receiver. If you want audio that will be a separate connection from the xbox to the receiver either by digital coaxial cable or optical cable, or composite.

Dear Armani,

You cannot put de leads from an MP3 player or your TV into the pre-amplified connection of your Denon,
the phono "stage" is a low input stage, your input from MP3, TV, CD, DVD oscasetteplayer is high output (a 5 to 10 times stronger signal)
Try every other stage like tape 1 or 2, this will work just fine,

muting is on switch off muting.
---volume control is in low level------turn volume up.
------input signal of audio source not selected------select your audio source.

Denon AVR 2802 - Unit Turning Off


If DIGITAL sign blink, this mean DSP board is defective. It will cut the sound on the AMP section. DSp is maybe defective.

DENON AVR 2802 (NO SOUND)


If "Digital" sign blink on front panel, it means DSP do no start properly. If DSP do not start, main UC mute audio. Change IC, AT49LV002-70TC (IC 817 ) at DSP board (Denon P/N: 262 3010 006).
