You have to update the software via Blackberry Desktop Manager. Timing is key as it maynot work the first time... It may take 20-50 tries but this is the only way to get it back up. If you can indeed get it back up everything will be erased. Sorry for the bad information.
actually if a blackberry went off completely, and still connect to pc that means there is still hope. All you need to do is that get a usb cable for your bb and connect it to your pc and see if there is any indicator that shows on your pc.if there is,then take it to a nearby mobile engineer to reload it for you.that is all
go to www.blackberry.com and download the desktop manager for your phone and service provider and reinstall the software. if it is an unlocked phone you need to navigate to the common files/rim and delete the vender file first.
If your BlackBerry gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.
1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON 2. Pull out the battery. 3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture. 4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight. 5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours. 6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.
A hard reset involves physically removing the battery from the smartphone and then reinserting it. To perform a hard reset, complete the following steps:1) Remove the battery cover from the back of the BlackBerry smartphone.2) Remove the battery, and then reinsert it after a few seconds.3) Replace the battery cover. A soft reset is a three key combination that resets the BlackBerry smartphone without removing the battery. It is only available on BlackBerry smartphone models with a QWERTY keyboard. SureType technology and touch screen BlackBerry smartphones, such as the BlackBerry Pearl smartphone, BlackBerry Pearl Flip smartphone, and BlackBerry Storm smartphone cannot be reset in this manner.
To perform a soft reset, complete the following steps:1) Press and hold down the ALT key on the smartphone.2) While holding down the ALT key, press and hold down the right-hand CAP key.3) With both of those buttons still pressed, press the DELETE key. The display on the BlackBerry smartphone will turn off to indicate that the reset has started, and the keys can now be released.
BEFORE ANYTHING !!!! use the desktop software to backup your data on the BB (if you can) and save the file to the desktop. next go to https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=577BCC914F9E55D5E4E4F82F9F00E7D4you need to download (use pull down menu)blackberry desktop software 4.6 and the blackberry pearl 8110 smartphone. install the desktop software first then the device software.. this can take maybe an hour (not including the download time)
the only thing that you can do with this issue is try wiping the software clean and reinstalling fresh software. You would need the blackberry desktop manager first installed on your home computer. If you dont have the cd the program is more then likely available on your mobile providers website. Once the program is downloaded and installed follow these directions
To perform this procedure, follow the steps below:
Remove the battery from the BlackBerry device.
Double-click Application Loader in BlackBerry Desktop Manager while the BlackBerry device is not connected to the computer.
Click Next on the Welcome to the Application Loader Wizard screen.
When the Communication Port Selection screen appears, connect the BlackBerry device.
When the USB-PIN option appears, click Next. The Device Application Selection screen should appear.
Re-insert the battery and allow the process to complete.
