Question about Canon PowerShot A480 Digital Camera
That gringing noise indicates that something has moved around, it could be the barrels are not aligned, or the plastic rings that guide the lens in and out have been dislodged due to impact or dust.
It can be repaired quite easily. Do not force or **** the lens around attempting to fix it for that will damage other parts in the process.
If you have taken anything apart, make sure to send it in with your camera and let them know!
