I do not think that this camera, being a rather old one has that option. However all is not lost. remove the memory card and connect the cam to the pc. Copy all images to computer and delete them. Now pop the card into a card reader(costs about 10$) and transfer the pics to it.

First off just to let you know. This is not a reputable digital camera manufacturer and offer little to no support. Now to answer your problem. You will need to transfer the photos from the camera to the computer. I would recommend purchasing a replacement camera if your having issues from a quality manufacturer. buy.com has a 12 megapixel camera that is easily twice as good as this camera and you will have future support and flexibility with the camera.
Thank you,
Lee

Sometimes the correct answer doesn't mean it will be popular. Also feedback is necessary to properly assist you.
    Thank you and good luck.

Also I wasn't commenting on the camera's abilities as much as its made by a "throw away" company that offers little to no support for their products. So like I already recommended, you need to transfer the photos from the camera to your computer directly via the cable that should have came with the camera. Then once it's on the computer you can transfer it to a sd card via a usb sd card reader.
    Thanks,
    Lee

It uses SD cards. Make sure you get an SD card and not a higher-capacity SDHC card.

SD card of digital camera got formatted?

As mentioned, you'll need to use recovery software. But first thing that's very important, take the card out of the camera and do not use it further until you've recovered the pictures. Below is a YouTube video of your freeware options, and here's more info on how to use these options, and where to get them.

I have an Akai DC6371 digital camera and the card I have in it is a Kodak 128mb SD card. However, the camera will only let me save 4 pics to the SD card. I tried putting a different card in it that's...

Hi I can tell that sometime you have to format within computer using external memory card reader, not from camera. It is not recommend switching around one sd card to another camera. It cause card error. If you want to use it, then you have to save pictures somewhere in other storage or computer, and format the one you want to use in computer using external memory card reader. And then one more time format in camera (you have to insert memory card into camera) These method very helpful on like your problem. If not working, then you have either camera defective or memory defective. Thanks and best regard!

How to transfer pictures from camera to sd card

The pictures that are stored on your camera memory cannot be transferred to the SD Memory Card. They must be downloaded to your computer first and then transferred via a card reader, if you intend to get them to the SD Memory Card. The two memory areas, internal and SD memory work separate of each other and the camera only operates from one. IF the system detect SD Memory than that is where the images are saved, if not, they automatically go to the internal memory.

Here it the manual for your camera:

I need to get pictures onto my laptopi cant use cd coz my laptop cant take it. i need to download a software from the net. for my akai dc 6371

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

Have you tried just taking the camera with you to a large electronics store? they usually carry all types of different USB cables..

Here is a good resource as well that might help you identify which type of connector you need on the usb cable
