Hi !! that is something called laser scanner contamination, behind the magenta catridge there is a little piece of glass wich is the laser scanner. clean the glass run at least 3 cleaning modes and then sent a test page and see if it gets fixed.
if not take the printer to a service center to make a deeper cleaning or in the worst case scenario to replace the lase scanner This is a link will help you find a local Hp Authorized repair center with your zipcode : http://h20465.www2.hp.com/GPL/search.aspx?language_code=en&country_code=us&SearchType=SSP

My MP600 will not print documents. It will print a scanned document i.e. scan the doc and print from the image. It will print a webpage. It will print a copy it makes but it is blue instead of black....

If colours are faded I would recommend running several cleaning/deep cleaning cycles to try and pull through the colours. It is difficult to say without seeing the print quality, but it sounds like an issue with a partially blocked printhead within the printer.
The printing in blue would suggest to me that one of the blacks in your printer is blocked. Were all 5 colours present on the nozzle check?

Printer is printing yellow instead of red and colour is fade

The magenta has run out (red).
Replace the HP 22 tri-color cartridge.
It probably has yellow and cyan (blue) left in it, and the black is most likely working as well, but if any of the 3 colors in the tricolor cartridge run out, the whole cartridge must be replaced.
For instance, if I printed my vacation photos and there was a lot of water and blue sky in all of them, the cyan might run out long before the cartridge life expectancy.
Also, don't forget that cartridges are rated in pages printed at 5% coverage.
Since a photo is about 25% of a full page, a photo printed at full bleed (edge to edge) will only yield 32 4 X 6 inch photos from a cartridge rated at 160 pages (5X expected coverage = 1/5 the prints)

I havean HP 2600n, anything red prints in a faded yellow. I've seen other posting regarding this put all answers suggest something wrong with the printer. However, when I had a supplies status page...

change the cartridges. Theres nothing else that can alter the color like that without rewriting the drivers. B4 you do, take each one out, shake gently from side to side to even out any toner, and try again. If they print better, your toner is low.

I have Hp color laserjet 2600n -when i print a color document, the left hand side of the page is faded, the middle and right hand side of the document prints fine. Internal documents print perfectly- this...

According to HP if the problem is only when you print from your PC or Mac then you need to reinstall the printer driver. If the problem is also when you print just from the printer, i.e. scanning or test page, then the problem is with the printer.

Color problem!

If you the image is faded and your toner supply is good, the problem is the developer blades in the imaging unit. It sounds like the magenta blade needs to be cleaned. During the normal use of the printer, there is a buildup of toner that sticks on the developer blade. The developer blade meters the amount of toner that gets to the drum that ultimately makes it to the paper. As the toner buildup increases on the blade, less and less toner that gets to the drum cause the image to fade.

To fix this problem you will need to disassemble the imaging unit and clean the blades or buy a new imaging unit. I have clean my blades and I have a document to show you if you are handy.

Faded print on one side of page

I have a SCX-4100 Samsung, replaced the tonger cartridge, it was working fine for a few hundred sheets of printing, but after that, the left side of the page was printed very light, faded.
If I run the "Clean Drum", it will print a litter better, but still faded.
What can I do to correct this problem?
Thank you
