Can a ruler foot be used on my singer Quantum Stylist 9960

Most likely, yes. However, there are several brands of rulers and ruler feet so be sure to do your research. It is important that the rulers be thick enough that the foot will not allow the ruler to slip underneath or you will have a big collision between the needle and ruler. A lot of quilters like the Westalee brand. You can verify with the ruler foot vendor if it will work on your machine before your purchase.

I have a sapphire 930 and would like to quilt using rulers but I need to know what shank size I have to get in order to use a ruler foot for my machine?

You can probably figure out which shank works on your machine:

Sewing Presser Feet

You'll just need to get a darning or free motion foot because they are shorter than regular feet which allows space to manipulate the fabric.

HOWEVER, some machines require different presser feet for use with rulers. The presser foot is actually deeper so it will not "jump" on top of the ruler while stitching. Some recommend Westalee rulers because they are thicker.

Jack / Cord problem

yes basically if you look at the jack end you should see where the join is it may unsrew then look at the wires in side and the looose one should be seen if not yu can get a new jack from most online electronics Maplin -RS- or any electronics supplier you will need to resolder the wires onto the new connector..make sure you keep the other snipped off connector for reference when resoldering new.. There are a few tips to soldering.. maker sure the wire is twisted before soldering and touch the wire to the solder tip then bring teh solder wire to the wire to tin (melt solder) the end then do the same with other wires. once the wires are tinned bring to plate on teh connector and touch wire to connector and then solder tip to where wire and connector are.. if you keep teh soldering iron on the connection to long you may melt the plastic jack surround so I usually use a metal jack type.. if it has three wires one is for left one for right and one earth..copy the old jack wiring and you should be ok.. Good Luck A

Using Calcomp 6 drawing board in corel draw and signwizard 4.1

I don't know about Signwizard but if Corel Draw is the problem, this might help. Double click on the ruler or...Go to tools and open the Options dialogue box. Click Document then click Guidelines then Rulers. The right panel should show a button the says Edit Scale. Click that. Make a note of what's there before you change anything.
You can calibrate the rulers to real-world distance too.
1. Click Tools Options.

2. In the Toolbox list of categories, double-click Toolbox, and click Zoom, hand tool.

3. Click Calibrate rulers.

4. Place a clear plastic ruler under the on-screen horizontal ruler.

5. Click the up or down arrows on the Horizontal box to match one unit of measurement on the on-screen ruler with one unit of measurement on the actual ruler.

6. Place the ruler beside the on-screen vertical ruler.

7. Click the up or down arrows on the Vertical box to match one unit of measurement on the on-screen ruler with one unit of measurement on the actual ruler.
