E20. I have read that it's a problem with the pump, or drain hoses
remove the 2 screws on the bottom and the front access panel comes off

pump is on the right, remove hoses from it, remove pump from machine then remove whatever is in the pump

Frigidaire gallery series keeps saying E20 and the clothes are still very wet at end of cycle. What can I do to fix this problem?

Thank you for your inquiry, B.paddock!

From what you have described your Frigidaire washer is displaying an "E20" code and once the cycle is completed the clothes are still wet. Typically, an "E20" code stands for the water is not pumping out fast enough. You should check your drain hose to make sure they are not restricted or clogged. If your hose is fine it could be a possible issue with your main control board or drain pump. I would then suggest contacting a professional technician for proper disassembly of your washer and replacement of the electrical components. If you do not have a professional connection you can visit your manufacturer's website to locate a technician in your surrounding area. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

My washer is displayin e20 it starts the cycle then stops and displays e20 and it doesnt empty

Unplug it and WAIT 30 min. then replug it to reset the board. this will work most of the time when it does not work any more throw the washer out and buy one that has knobs on it as the part to fix the washer costs more than a new one. DO NOT buy washers and dryers with digital displays or touchscreen controls as they are not cheap to fix. Once again the parts cost more than a new washer. Pokey Delaroderie

E20 showing on display, machine still got water in

Hello,

E20 is related to the pump and as you say a strange noise is there I would check the filter for foreign objects.E90 is normally a communication problem between the main programmer and the display module. There may have been a fault in the pump which has caused a fault at the Programmer. That model was first produced in 2002 but it is worth checking pump and filter first. If you find anything in filter then clean it out and give it another go the E90 error may have been a glich.Best of luck.

E20 fault display

Hello,
E20 is a fault either in the filter/pump or drain.
The water must be drained thru. the little hose by filter or get machine to back door and undo filter plug and drain onto back step its quicker. With filter out see if any blockages, shine torch up in filter hole turn to spin/drain and see if pump blade spins if not then get long screwdriver and turn blade to free if no joy pump has to come out to free, hopefully this will work and refit plug and check for leaks. Then try again.

Good luck.

Washing cycle does not complete and I get error E20 with beeps

The E20 error means that the thermistor resistance has drifted or the temperature scanning sequence is incorrect. The ambient temperature could be below freezing.

Check the thermistor and associated wiiring for correct resistance and operation and replace if required.

E20 message

Hi Helenw,
The error message E20, simply means the filter plastic cage which is located behind the trap door bottom right side of the machine is full and needs to be cleaned out.
All the fibres and lint gets trapped in here and prevents the waste water from escaping, hence Error code E20.

Regards,
David
