There might be different possibilities, the internal fuse might not be providing power to the motor or the motor is burnt. You should also check and make sure the belt is good if applicable.

Check the lid switch as well. If defective the dryer won't start.

It blows fuses or trips the circuit breakerElectric
dryers use 220 volts or two power lines of 110 volts each. Some
components in the dryer need only 110 volts; the heating element
requires 220 volts. So it's possible for one part of the dryer to be
fine and another part to have a short circuit. Short circuits can be
caused by the heating element, the main power cord, or any other part
of the internal wiring. To decide where the problem lies, unplug the
    dryer, then:

  • If
the circuit breakers or fuses remain on and/or intact when the dryer is
unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the dryer. Contact a
    qualified appliance repair technician.

  • If the circuit
breaker trips or the fuse blows when the dryer is unplugged, it's
likely the problem is with the house wiring, fuse box, or circuit box.
    Contact a qualified electrician.

My lg dryer want start up it just clicks three times when I press the start button

On older models the selection switch starts to wear out, click both the selection switch and timer switch around in a full circle & try starting again. If it is an electronic model, try unplugging it and let it sit 10 seconds then plug it back in and see if it reboots properly. A power outage or brown out may have effected it.

How do I turn on bell on my dryer

    From the Whirlpool user manual:
(OPTIONAL) Your dryer may have an End Of Cycle Signal. The
signal is helpful when drying items that should be removed
from the dryer as soon as it stops.
    ?
On some models, the End of Cycle Signal is fixed.
    ?
On other models, the End of Cycle signal is part of the
Start button and is selectable. Turn the PUSH TO START
button to ON or OFF. The signal will sound only if the
    selector is set to On.

My LG Tromm dryer will power on but has one ligh on with two other flashing on the option select button. It won't start any run cycles.

Most likely you have a control board problem. All those issuse point to the only thing that effects all those parts/functions of the dryer. This is about a $100 part. Call Sears parts and get a quote or go to http://www.searspartsdirect.com. Labor to replace will be in the $80-120 price range unless you bring it to a repair shop which could be cheaper.

The Dryer says Control Locked how do I fix it

Which brand/model of dryer do you have? For most dryers, you need to press and hold either one button or a pair of buttons at the same time to toggle the lock on and off. Frequently the correct button or pair of buttons will be indicated with a small padlock or child's face. Some LG dryers are nice; the button is labeled Lock/Unlock. Press and hold the button for 3+ seconds until you hear a beep and see the alert go off. The Whirlpool Duet (and the Kenmore equivalent) require you to press and hold the End of Cycle button for 15 seconds. On at least some Frigidaire dryers, press and hold Select and Options for 10+ seconds.

The control lock prevents someone from changing the settings or starting the dryer running when it shouldn't.
If the appropriate steps for your washer fail, try unplugging the dryer for a while. If the lock remains enabled, the control panel isn't communicating properly with the board. Either the panel will need replacement or the board itself.
    I hope this helps.

How do i do drying only

From the document I see, it is only a matter of pressing the "Dry" button. This is from the manual, available at http://www.lg.com/us/appliances/washer-dryer-combos/LG-WM3431HW.jsp and selecting the "Support" tab. On the right, there will be a "Washer/Dryer Combos Manual" link, which will download to your computer. Listed under "Dry" in Section 9 is the following.
    • Drying options are easily selected with the Dry button. • For most even drying , make sure all articles in the clothes load are similar in material and thickness. • Do not overload dryer by stuffing too many articles into drum. Items must be able to tumble freely • If you open door and remove load before dryer has finished its cycle, remember to press the Start/Pause button. • By pressing the Dry button, you can select "Normal" - "More" - "Time" - "Off" - "Low Temp" - "Less" • Your dryer can handle a load of up to 9 lbs. (4 kg) dry weight of articles. • When drying cycle is completed, [Cd] (Cool Down) is displayed on the Multi display. • Cool Down is set automatically when the drying cycle is complete. • If clothes are not removed promptly when the drying cycle ends, wrinkles can form. • The Cool Down feature periodically tumbles, rearranges and fluffs the load to avoid wrinkles for up to 4 hours. • The message [Cd] will continue to display until the clothes are removed or the Start/Pause button is pressed
Hope this solves your problem. I highly recommend downloading the users manual, it is a wealth of information and will prove useful in many circumstances.

We were just moved by a moving company and my dryer worked the day before they moved it. Now, my LG DLE7177RM won't power on at all. We had our maintenance come and check the outlet, that's fine, we bought...

Sounds like damage was done to the control panel during the move. You will need a qualified LG tech to test the controls and see if the power button was broken during the move.
