Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Hotpoint (Indesit) 'F12' decodes as 'communications error' which sounds rather drastic but often can be cured by having plugs and cables reseated (removed and replaced) on the control board- an engineer task ;-0(
It may be possible to have the door seal repositioned rather than replaced at the same time.
Sorry I can be no more help than this ;-0)
Good luck, John C
I spent a very long time looking for this. I recommend you look in your local phone book business pages for Appliance parts / supply and have your model number WF740 in hand. These complete pump assys appear to be cheaper than just the filter. You can order the new pump / filter assy and just use the filter for now.
It could be a broken drum restraint spring, or a worn or broken. or loose shock absorber.
To check the springs, remove the top cover, and you will see the springs.
Another possibility is the concrete weight could be broken or loose.
You need to remove the lower rear panel of washer to check the shockers and concrete weight.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.
I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WF740. This does have brushes. Tilt the washing machine backwards & look underneath. The brushes can be seen on the motor housing, they are secured by two screws each.
Your pipe to the water pump exit is probably blocked with bits of old fluff or missing sock, i found that the clothes had slimy bits on mine, i tilted it up and removed the rubber water exit pipe from under neath, cleaned out all the rubbish and works a treat now.
make sure door seal is fitted correctly to the cabinet. you may find that all that is required is to push the door harder than usual till the seal beds in
