Read the s/n of a non bootable mainboard

Hi,

I need to the read the serial number of a broken Intel DX58SO mainboard. It's not bootable. I can't find any S/N-Label on the board.

Where should it be located?

Connect: 1 and 3, 2 and 4, 5 and 7,6 and 8.
The 9 number is not in use.
Its also printed in on the mainboard with very small letters.

    if you updated bios, you may want to see if all bios settings are correct. i have seen bios updates disable the on board audio. verify that is working correctly (re-enable if necessary) and see where that takes you.
