  • Step 1
  • Open the front panel of the printer. Look to see if the jammed paper is visible.
  • Step 2 Pull the paper if you see it. Pull gently so you do not damage any other part of the printer.
  • Step 3 Open the next panel. This panel is usually found below the already-open panel.
  • Step 4 Pull the paper if you see it. Again, do so gently.
  • Step 5 Open the next panel. This panel can be found towards the back.
  • Step 6 Pull the paper gently if you can see it. Continue to open any remaining panels, and then remove the toner cartridge.
  • Step 7 Look for the paper by taking out all removable parts. If you still cannot find the paper, replace everything and attempt to restart the printer.
  • Step 8 Once you have removed the paper, restart the printer. You will have to print your document again.

Its always saying that BACK COVER IS OPEN we already check it for many times but its intact and in correct possition. and also the paper wont feed the machine.

    Hi there!!
The message that you're getting means that either the back cover is not closed securely or there's a jammed paper inside. Here's what you can do to clear the message:
-Please unplug the fax machine for your safety -Open the front cover -Remove the toner & drum assembly (theres a handle in the center of the drum/toner assembly, just pull it towards you. -Remove any pieces of paper stuck or the jammed paper -Remove the toner from the drum and check for any other pieces of paper stuck -Once everything is clear -Reinstall the toner back into the drum and the drum & toner assembly to the fax machine. You should hear it click into place once installed correctly -Close the front cover & plug in the power cord. That should clear the message
Hope this helps, Thumbs up if it does, thanks!

Hello, My printer says that I have a paper jam but I can't find anything. I took all the paper out and put it in again. I turned the pirinter off and on. Nothing works. The page that originally got stuck,...

Great job on taking out the paper jam without tearing it. Maybe the sensor got stuck and printer keeps thinking it's still has a paper jam. Remove the ink cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the rectangular black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in the printer. When the printer's ready, reload the cartridges then close the cover. If this doesn't help, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support to further investigate the problem. Thanks

Clean the Rollers with lint free cloth ( upward exactly how the paper rollers)
Open the Front access Door, Check for any paper stuck.
Close the doors and try to turn on the printer

If this does not work, Disconnect the power cord from back of printer when printer is powered on.

Please check to make sure you have followed these instructions to clear the paper jam and check the carriage movement. Also check the mechanical parts described here and here to see that they are correctly positioned and moving freely. For stuck cartridge position, see here.
You may have to reset the printer, as follows:
    1. Turn off the product.
    2. Unplug the power cord and the data cable from the back of the product.
    3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    4. Reconnect the power cord to the product and wall outlet, and then turn on the product

Here's a key to the lights blinking errors.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

    Epson R320 carriage jammed

The ink cartridge is probably not inserted correctly.  Unplug the printer and manually move the carriage to a location where you can take the ink cartridge out.

Remove it and reinsert it, making sure that it is fully located, before applying the power.

Make sure that there is nothing blocking the carriage movement, such as some remnant of paper.

To start with first try a reset:

Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet when there is still power in the All-In-One. and wait for atleast 1Min
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet)
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)

    Then check and see

If not try the link bellow:

    PAPER JAM

SUGGESTION #1 The print carriage might be jammed. Follow these steps to correct the problem:
    1. With the power on, lift the print cartridge access door. The print carriage should move to the access area located on the right. If the print carriage stays all the way left, reset the unit by unplugging the then plugging in the power cord. If the carriage still does not move to the right, continue with the steps below.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from the all-in-one.
    3. Remove both print cartridges.
    4. Push the print carriage slightly to the left and then to the right to verify that the print carriage is not jammed. If the print carriage will not move, check for obstructions under and around the carriage.
    5. Close the print cartridge access door.
    6. Plug in the power cord.
    7. When the " Insert Print Cartridges " message displays, open the print cartridge access door and insert the print cartridges. Verify that both cartridges are seated correctly and lock into position.
SEGGUSTION #2 cleaning rollers Over time dust and paper fibers will accumulate on the paper feed rollers. This can cause paper feed problems. Follow the steps below to clean the rollers: Figure 3: Paper feed rollers c00212278.jpg
    1. Turn off the all-in-one and unplug the power cord.
    2. Remove the rear access door (as describe above in this document).
    3. Clean each roller using a clean lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water (distilled water preferred). Rotate the rollers to clean the entire surface.
    4. Verify that the paper feed rollers on the rear access door are clean and rotate easily.
    5. Re-seat the rear access door.
    6. Plug in the power cord and turn on the all-in-one.
If these suggestions don't fix the problem feel free to write back to me. Try to be a little more specific i.e does paper feed properly, error message shows with paper/without paper or both, do any of the lights flash when this happens, have you tried diiferent paper sizes ot types. Have you taken it apart to check for any obstructions?
