* take nail polish or paint and place a mark starting on the front roller pulley and going onto the front roller metal shaft
* then try to walk on it and see if the white mark separates
* if it does then the roller is bad and would need replaced or tap screws placed through the pulley into the metal shaft to hold it in place
* if it doesn't separate then the drive belt is slipping and most likely will need replaced, although you could try spraying belt dressing on it to see if that would be a temporary fix.
* if neither of these is your problem and the walk belt is slipping then you will need to try to adjust the screws in the back of the treadmill through the end caps. these are allen wrench screws.
Tighten each one the same amount such as 1 full turn to start with.
see if you can now walk without it slipping.
If not then tighten 1-2 more turn on both sides.
If after 2-3 full turns it is not tight enough
I would recommend replacing the walk belt.

Hopefully this helps with your problem!

Is there a weight limit on the Pro-Form 760 EKG treadmill? While I am walking the belt skips and I feel like I am going to fall.

not sure if there is a weight limit but did you check the belt tension.
front or rear roller should have an adjustment screw on both sides to tighten the belt. this could be the solution to your problem

3 different possibilities in my opinion:

belt is too loose, belt is too tight, belt is worn out.

Try to lift the belt and get your hand under it in the middle of the deck. If you cannot reach, it is possible that your belt is too tight. Another clue for this would be the belt "curling" on both sides at the edges. Try to loosen the belt, gradually and testing it along the way.

If on the contrary you can easily slide your hand under the belt from one side to the other, it is more likely that the belt is too loose. The squeaking might be due to the belt not being "square" on the deck. Try to loosen it even more until you can slide it with your hands across the deck. And have it aligned evenly at the front and back. Then retighten and adjust the tracking at low speed.
!!! Do not over loosen as the bolts might come out of the back roller.

A worn out belt might squeak and skip when its old.

Belt is slipping and squeaking when walked upon what type of lubricant should be used

Sounds like the motor belt is slipping. Make sure the belt from the motor to front roller pulley is tight.Once you have that adjusted lube and adjust the walk belt. The squeaking is usually from the motor belt. Many treadmills(Proform, Nordictrack for example) use Silicone lube (lube n walk, or silicone With teflon from Lowes works good) Call the manufacturer to make sure it uses a silicone lube.

If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

Belt squeaking and hesitating when I run

Before beginning this repair: Check to make certain that the drive belt requires adjustment. Check out belt slipping instructions or with the motor cover removed, walk on the belt normally and try to stall the belt to make it slip. Be careful during this test. If the problem is in the drive belt, either the drive belt will stop when stalled or the front roller will stop when stalled. If the motor, drive belt, and front roller continue to turn when the walking belt is stalled, the problem is with the walking belt slipping on the front roller. If the drive belt continues to turn but the front roller stalls, you may have a broken front roller pulley.
Step 1- Find the motor mounts. Many motors in Icon treadmills have a main pivot joint in which a bolt runs the full length of the motor mount. This bolt will require loosening to provide maximum adjustability. Some models have a single jack bolt and others have an auto tensioner. Single jack bolts are the easiest to adjust. Step 2- Find the set bolt(s) on the motor. This is typically run through only one side of the motor mount or may be on both sides but it does not run the full length of the mounting. Loosen this bolt(s) but do not remove. Jack bolt models will have flat mounts and may contain up to four bolts. Step 3- Look for a bolt that will tension the motor. If it has this bolt, it typically runs in the same direction parallel with the drive and walking belts. If your treadmill is not equipped with this bolt, skip to Step 4. If your treadmill is equipped with this bolt (very few are) the repair will only require one person. Using 2 7/16" wrenches, make a few turns to this bolt, tighten the bolts from Steps 1 and 2 and test your treadmill for slipping. If belt continues to slip, repeat Steps 1, 2, & 3. If a second attempt does not repair the problem, skip to Step 5. Step 4- If your treadmill is not equipped with a bolt as described in Step 3, the drive belt must be tensioned by hand. While one person applied increased tension to the drive belt, the other person should tighten the motor set bolt(s) that are described in Step 2. Tighten the bolt from Step 1 and test. If the problem is not corrected, repeat Steps 1, 2, & 4 and retest. If problem persists, skip to Step 5. Step 5- If you have arrived at this step, let's make sure you have a drive belt tension problem. With the motor cover removed, walk on the belt normally and try to stall the belt to make it slip. Be careful during this test. If the problem is in the drive belt, either the drive belt will stop when stalled or the front roller will stop when stalled. If the motor, drive belt, and front roller continue to turn when the walking belt is stalled, the problem is with the walking belt slipping on the front roller. the problem. Another possibility is that the drive belt has worn down. In some cases, belt dressing may help correct the problem. If not, the drive belt must be replaced. Step 6- The belt should be able to be turned by hand at approximately a 90 degree angle from its normal operating position

Needle skips

A needle is a precision part. Look to see if the needle has a conical point descending from the cartridge needle carrier. If not, replace the needle.
*Always protect the needle while you adjust things!
Pressure is essential for the needle to track. Turn the weight down until the needle just floats above the record. Zero the weight by turning just the weight indicator, not the weight. Now turn the weight to add 1.2 to 1.5 grams. (Always use the manufacturer's recommended weight if different!)
A level surface is important. Make sure the turntable is level.
Test the arm bearings:
Adjust the weight until the arm floats. With a feather, gently push the arm towards the center. Now gently push it back. The arm should move smoothly with no hesitation and easily. Reset the weight to 1.5 grams or less.
If your cabinet is moving when you walk around, the records will skip. Find a different place for the turntable or don't walk around. In severe cases, raise the weight to 1.75 to 2 grams, but this wears the needle fast an can cause distortion.

I have a Proform XP 550s and the belt skips/slips when you put any weight on it. Works perfect if you let it run without a body on it though. Any ideas on how to fix it? I've tried tightening and...

I would remove the hood first covering the motor (Usually 4-6 screws) so you can isolate the problem. Now you will be able to get a good look at what is going on underneath. If when you put weight on it the you see the motor keep spinning but the drive belt stop then you need a new one. You could temporarily tighten it until you replace it but it's probably ready to go. If the drive belt and front roller keep turning and the walking belt stops then replace the walking belt.

On mine I had to replace the drive belt and the walking belt. I went with the cheapest fix first (drive belt which was slipping) then I could still stall the walking belt but had no way of knowing that until I replaced the drive belt.

I guess if it's the motor you'll be able to tell that too by watching because it'll bog down.

Parts at TreadmillDoctor.com for me anyway. They have both online and by phone troubleshooting support.
