What is happening is that the fill sensor is apparently not working. The washer will continue filling until it overflows the washer!
Replace the pressure switch. This will solve your problem and cost is about $35.00

Before replacing the switch check the hose which comes to the switch also

It is possible that hose has a hole in it or has come undone. If there is no pressure in the hose, then it wont actuate the switch, and thus fill forever.

If your air tube is in good shape, it could be the switch itself, it may be adjustable.

How to fix amana w10240534c washer wont fill?

check your water inlet valve. Check it for continuity with a multi meter it should show Ohms or a closed circuit. To test it when water is overflowing unplug the unit and see if it still overflows or continues to fill. no fill If it stops when unplugged. Then it is not a water inlet problem but an electrical signal problem going to ur water inlet valve. Possibly from the panel or board.

Sometimes when I turn on the wash cycle it will fill with water and complete the whole cycle and sometimes water will not come into the machine what could be causing this?

if this is a mechanical timer that controls the cycles. your timer may need replacing but it will not finish the cycle and pause on the fill mode, for the machine will not continue to cycle until the water level has reached your selected load size, a poor/faulty connection at the water valve solenoid, or water level censor can also cause this problem

FL code washer not draining

“FL” (Over Fill) flashes
The washer will beep every 10 seconds with no time-out. The
pump will cycle one half minute on, one half minute off, until
the overfill switch is reset or power is discontinued to the unit.
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display. Shut off the water
faucets to the inlet hoses if water continues to flow.

Here is the complete manual.

When washer was off it filled up with water and overflowed will a water inlet valve fix this. this is a whilpool washer frontload ghw9100lq1

Yes, it should. The only way water can enter a washer when off, is through a stuck inlet valve, or by siphoning water from a drain hose installed too deeply in the stand pipe. If your machine had enough water coming in to overflow, that definitely sounds like a bad inlet valve.

Whirlpool Estate Washer will not stop filling.

There is a fill switch that is not being triggered. Find out where that is. The dog hair could be the culprit. This switch is but cutting the tank fill. God Bless John

check the pressure hose. a kinked clogged or disconnected hose continues to fill. the pressure switch senses the air pressure in the hose.awaiting your further comments. thank you.

it just means that the pump needs primed. Turn on at the wall and on the machine, wait until screen says ready (make sure water tank full), then turn steam handle on RHS to on (do not push the steam button). the pump will prime until water comes out of the steam nozzle. now turn off the steam handle and you are ready to go!
