Did you put back the choke? (under the fuel tap)
and you better change the spark plug (& plug cap too)

There's a fair chance that on a scooter of that age, depending on usage and mileage, that you need to replace your piston rings. Cost about £10.

Hi, Mike_hall558 and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Float needle and seat sticking.
5. Float level too low.
6. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
7. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
8. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
9. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
10. Slow fuel jet clogged.
11. Faulty fuel pump.

My Vespa ET2 will not start when it's off the kickstand. Starts fine when the bike is on the kickstand. Engine cuts out when i push the bike off of the stand.

I'm not familiar with ET2s but I had a similar problem with a Vespa 100 years ago. After hours of messing about i discovered a bolt had fallen and blocked one of the air inlets on the bottom of the frame. Was fine when i kicked it but when my bum was on the saddle it kinda 'sealed' around the tank area and starved the engine of air. As i say, i don't know about new ET2s but sounds kinda similar symptoms.

When i kick my scooter(vespa 125cc) off its ok if i stop and it cools down it wont kick off but if i bump it off it fires up ok

I don't know much about Vespa scooters but from what you're describing, your valves need adjusting. If the valve is standing open as little as one thousandth of a inch, you won't have enough compression to start the engine at kick starter cranking speeds. It will start when you push the scooter and bump it off. This is because you get a higher piston speed allowing the engine to start before the compression has time to bleed off. Check the valve adjustment, especially the exhaust valve.
