Hello,

the fault might be from the game board or maybe you did not do the connections correctly.

To confirm this, connect the game to another TV and observe if the game will display on the screen. the out come of this will determine whether the game is the cause of the problem or the TV. This will enable us know where to focus our attention.

So try it and let me know what happens next.

Bye for now.

I have the 3 RCA red, yellow, white cables on back of dvd and to tv. Video only plays when I select video 1 under the input. When when I select video 3 only sound and no video. What else can I try?

Sounds like from the symptoms that you have plugged the white and red cables into AV3 input on the back of the Teleivsion and plugged the yellow cable into AV1 on the back of the Television.
Check the cables are all plugged into AV1 input ports on the back of the Television. Red and White go into the Audio inputs and Yellow goes in the video input. Also make sure you have not plugged cables into component inputs on television look for AV1 in on back of Television .

How should I hook up a dvd player? Which one of the input jacks. I am using rca connectors

mikehomco,

On the rear of the DVD locate the composite video output and audio outputs. The connectors will be RCA females. Video is yellow, right audio is red and left audio is right. Connect one end of your patch cable to the appropriate output color. On the TV find the video input one. Connect the yellow, red and white ends of the cord to the same colors on the TV, video input 1. If your TV has a source selection button use it to locate video input one. If not use the menu. Go to input select and choose video input one. Enjoy the movie.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

I cant connect my wii to my tv. can you give me instructions how?

Most TVs have a yellow video and a white audio and red audio input. The Wii comes with a cable to connect to a TV with a yellow, white and red RCA cable. Plug in the large block end of this cable to the Wii (rectangle block) and the other end into the TV using the yellow plug to the yellow input jack and the white plug to the white input jack and red to red. Select on the TV using the TV remote, the input where the Wii is hooked up. This is the standard way.

I am trying to hook up my cable box so i can watch tv.

At the cable box input, connect the cable (probably labeled "Cable In" or "Signal In").

Depending on the cable box model and available inputs on your TV, connect one of the following (listed in descending order of video quality). Colored phono plugs must match the colors of the plugs on each end.:

  • HDMI (a single rectangular connector at each end - sometimes you need to connect the Audio separately with a two - line cable with red and white phono plugs).
  • YPbBr, AKA Component (Cable with Red, Blue and Green phono plugs, plus a separate Red and White cable set for Audio).
  • S-video (a single round connector and separate Red and White audio cables).
  • Composite (Yellow video cable plus Red and White audio cables, usually sold as a single set).
  • RF out on the cable box connects to ANT or Cable In on the TV with a coax cable.
The various options are always grouped in some manner on both the Cable box and the TV. On the TV, note which input set you use, for example, "Component 1". This is the input you will select to watch whatever channel you select on the cable box.

An unused output on the cable box can go to a video recorder. Some cable boxes may permit setting up two different channels for this purpose; others will only put out the signal from one channel at a time on all outputs.

You may, if you prefer, connect the audio cable from the cable box to a stereo receiver instead of the TV. Usually people connect the audio to the TV, then connect another audio cable from "Audio Out" or "Monitor Out" on the TV to the stereo receiver. That way the sound is from whatever video source is currently selected, and the TV remote control can be used to set the volume. TV sets with this option usually have a setting to turn off the internal speakers so you hear only the external stereo speakers.

I need to know where to plug in my connectors for my cable box. I have two red ones and one blue one I can't find the right holes to plug them in. I have a green one and white one fixed so I have a black...

Hi,
This would be 5 pins, red-white is for audio and rest of 3 pins red-green-blue for video signal, it calls component video.
Find out red-green-blue jacks at back of TV that would be label as Y, Yr, Yb
Plug each pin in same color to get color picture.

How to connect to an analog tv

Try to locate the composite video/audio in(1) and audio (2) out sockets of your tv.
(1): three small round sockets, one yellow, one white, one red (2): two small round sockets, red and white. (only if you want sound from your tv on your marantz receiver)
You will need a composite audio/video cable: 51433a4.jpg
and a composite audio cable: db5db51.jpg

Connect the composite video/audio cable (1):
the yellow lead to MULTI OUT (yellow) the white lead to MULTI OUT (white) the red lead to MULTI OUT (red)
on your tv: connect these cables to the respective yellow, red and white input. (there should be a text like: game in/dvd in/ext in/AV-1/VCR) If all you see at the back is a big socket like this one: 0f41fcb.jpg

you will need a SCART-to-composite adapter, like this:
9e08d41.gif

(2) To get audio from your tv to your Marantz, locate an 'audio out' (red + white round connectors) on your tv, and connect these pins using cable (2) to TV (complete bottom left on your Marantz).

I have a proscan tv model #PS27108, I do not know how to hook up the dvd player in regards to the cords and what channel to put it on? I would appreciate any help with this! Thanks in advance?

The ProScan will accept input on input 90/91/92 using the connectors on the backside. You can use S-video[the little round black connector] or the composite video [yellow connector] for the video in and use the red / white pair for audio in.
90 selects S-video and audio 1 in
91 selects composite and audio 1 in
92 selects composite in 2 and audio 2 in
Connect these cords to the S-video or composite yellow output, and the Red-right White- left audio outputs on the DVD.
If you don't want to do this, get a RF modulator ~$15, and connect the yellow/red/white from the DVD output to the inputs on the modulator, and then connect the RF [cable] output of the modulator to the antenna input on the ProScan, and tune channel 3 or 4.

I have dynex flat screen hdtv, need to hook up jvc dual dvd-vcr recorder to it need direction pls have no knowledge of hooking up this diagram would also be great

  • find the video input 1 in the back of the tv (this video connector yellow + audio red **audio right channel and white left channel) is known as female RCA conector)
  • get a set of rca wires **known as male RCA*** (yellow red and white)
  • find the RCA female conectors Yellow red and white in the DVD call it video (and audio) output
Connect sets accordingly the TV video input yellow conector with video output yellow with the set of wires RCA yellow. Do the same with audio.

  1. second part of this talking is to find and cable splitter (usually three output and one input
  2. find TWO coax cables (this cable is usually a black wire with a connector each side this fits perfectly in the antena input of the tv)
Now connect your cable into the splitter (input) and your two cables in each output, then send one of them into the TV antena conector and another to the DVD coax input.

To watch your TV only select any regualr channel as you do it.
And to record and actually see Your DVD/tape and what you record also. You have to select in your remote control the video 1

ones you get custome to this configuration you can record a channel and at the ssame time watch any second channel selected in the tv.

I hope was clear.
