How do I unjam it?

On the very bottom of the disposal there is a small opening in the very middle of the disposal. If you shine a light under the sink and put a mirror down on the inside of the cabinet you should be able to see this. You'll need an Allen wrench to put in the 6 sided hex hole and turn counter clockwise until the disposal turns freely. This should unjam your disposal. Don't forget you may have to hit the small reset button on the bottom too.

Spoon stuck in disposal help

Yes, crank it in BOTH directions until it frees up. There may be an allen wrench taped to the disposer or to the wall of the cabinet that works best because it gives you better leverage.

And then buy one of these at the doller store to keep stuff from falling into the disposer.

If the motor runs during the drain cycle, check for a blockage in the drain line. If the motor won't run during the drain cycle or if it just hums when it should be running, the pump and motor assembly might need to be replaced.

Clogged or Improperly Installed Garbage Disposer If the dishwasher won't drain and the garbage disposer was installed recently, the installer might have forgotten to knock out the drain plug from this disposer. All garbage disposers are sold with a solid plug in the drain tube for situations where a dishwasher isn't connected. However, if the dishwasher is connected, the plug will need to be removed. If the disposer wasn't replaced recently, remove the dishwasher drain hose from the disposer and clean out both the fitting on the disposer and the end of the drain hose. Uppa baby vista won't lock into place when open

This is what will work. First get some WD-40 and spray it around the jammed locking pin. Give the lubricant 10 mins and then get a knife or flat head screwdriver. What you will want to do is try to pry the locking pin up. Be gentle as you are dealing with plastic and if you break the plastic locking pin your stroller is done. As you slowly pry the pin upwards you will feel or see grooves which you can use to continue to raise the locking pin. Once the locking pin is unjammed push down on it a few times to get dust, dirt or sand out of the locking pin. The pin should pop up freely every time you push down on it and let go.

Hope that helps as I also had the same issue.

What wrong with garbage disposal when it won,t grind the food up and send it down the drain

Disposal is jammed or has gone off on reset. There is a red reset button on the bottom of the unit. If jammed, turn off breaker and switch.Clean out any debris so that you can get a good visual, most common problem is small piece of bone or a coin (dime or penny) stuck between the blades. Garbae disposals are hard on plumbing pipes-best solution is remove all together.

Garbage disposal will not go on. Breaker is on, reset has been tried.

Yes. It is possible. Is the push button in with this switch box? Because the push button could be bad.
