if you already know the hardware you need you just have to search for thenewest drivers on google if you're not sure you can load up a live linux cd and go to kinfo center and it will tell you EVERYTHING about your hardware
what operating system you using? xp or vista? home? premium? basic? at any rate use this link to select your unit and use the operating system drop down menu to locate the software that is loaded on the computer. from there select the correct driver. Make sure you select the Lan Driver first. Load that. THen select either the atheros or broadcom driver. if you install both it will be fine. the machine will only install the correct one to the device. good luck! Ruben
There are a few things you can try for the dreaded ! Delete and let it be discovered again or select it and try reinstalling the driver from the CD that came with the unit. Make sure the driver is compaitible with your operating system XP drivers wont work in Vista. You may need to get an updated driver from Acer to overcome this problem

The installed network adapters can be viewed in the windows device manager which can be accessed through the windows control panel as follows:
•Opening the Control Panel The Windows Control Panel can be opened by: Selecting Start > Control Panel (on Windows Vista) - OR - Start > Run > Type 'Control' and select OK (on Windows XP)
•In the Control Panel, Select Device Manager
•In Device Manager, Select 'Network Adapters'
The netgear wpn 511 adapter will appear there if it is correctly installed.
