Until recently the top screen doesn't display picture anymore. When I turned on, I can see the light caming out from the top screen but no image show up. Is there a way to fix it. Thanks Hong

There is a way to fix it, if you know where a gaming repair shop is im sure they will sort it out for you in a matter of minutes, but remember not everything is free you never know they might not even charge you or depending on how long you have had it, the shop you bought it from should be able to send it off for repairs free of charge.

The screen says no game inserted when there is a game inserted.

Step 1: An ancient Nintendo trick, Blow on the connection places to loosen the dust, and see if that Fixes the problem, If not proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Make sure that your DS works, and is not broken, If it's working, do you have a Friend with another DS? If you do, Does the game work in theirs? If so, Then your DS has a problem that will need to be fixed by nintendo. Link to Nintendo Support

Nintendo ds lite has a broken hinge

You can buy a new plastic housing for your DS lite on many different sites. Some are great quality. If the DS still works (despite the broken hinge) it makes sense to replace the housing.
You should be able to find enough videos on youtube to learn how to disassembe the DS and not do any harm. Make sure that you buy a tri-wing screwdriver (also called a nintendo screwdriver).

Hope this helps

Broken lcd on ds

Whew, boy. Well, I've never taken one apart before, but why don't you go ask those nice people over at Nintendo for a how-to document. I would guess that you just need to take it apart and stick all the cables attached to the old screen onto the new screen, but I wouldn't want to render the DS useless, so follow my instructions at your own risk.

Nintendo DS lite bottom screen replacment

Hey, you need to check the ribbons that connect the various pieces. The DS will not boot up if some part is not connected properly. Make sure you have not torn any of the ribbons either.

Conection?

Here is a guide to dismantle an original Nintendo2.gif DS:

How to dismantle a Nintendo DS.

If yours is the NDS Lite, just find this video2.gif in youtube: "Disassembling Nintendo DS2.gif Lite"

And after opening it you can do your work. Make sure the flexible cables connecting the top screen part of your DS are well in place and not broken. Your problem may be only a loosen cable but in case the cable is broken you gonna need a replacement. Be careful not to damage the screen or other sensitive electronic parts on your device and you will be on your way.

Good Luck...

Power on, lower screen problem

The connection to the lower screen is probably a bit broken. If you feel up to it you could take your DS apart using a tri winged screwdriver (can be bought from www.whitedog.co.uk/catalog/nintendo-wing-screwdriver/p-1169.html) or you could just send it in for repair.
