If gas is in carburetor but won't transfer to engine, try to spray down the carburetor 'tube', choke plate and jets with a carburetor cleaner spray. The jets are probably clogged, due to lack of use.

Also, you can try putting carburetor cleaner into the gas tank, a little bit.

If this does not immediately work, then a carburetor rebuild is required, where new jets are put in, and passageways are blown out with compressed air and sprayed with carburetor cleaner in a disassembled state.

If you store the unit with old gas for 3 months or so, then Stabil Gas treatment is recommended. If it's longer than 3 months then the carburetor should be drained or the engine run until it is out of gas in the float bowl.

This may seem a little funny, to do all this, but if one does this, then less expense for carburetor rebuilds can be avoided, over time.

Good luck on this repair.

Just installed a new carburetor on a Tecumseh Snow King 8 hp engine. Gas is getting to the carburetor but no gas is filling the bowl and engine won't start

Sounds like the carb needle valve is stuck closed. Try loosening the bolts holding the carb to the engine, then tapping the carb lightly with a hammer. If gas then flows to the carb, re-tighten the carb bolts evenly and not too tightly.

Will not start, put new gas in it, stabile in gas, new sparkplug, dry gas in gas. Gas left in it over the summer months, so I sprayed some carb cleaner in carb. It just turns over. Drained gas from bulb,...

It is very common for the jets to varnish up (even with StaBil) and carb cleaner can't get into those areas. You can take the carb off and soak it in carb cleaner.
One method that I try before I take it apart is to spray a ONE second blast of starting fluid into the carb throat. Attempt to start the engine. If everything but gas is ok, the engine will start. Do it only one more time, this time with the choke on full and usually this is enough to get the engine running.
Be careful and don't do this more than twice. Starting fluid is very dangerous to use and will ruin your engine if you use more than a one second blast more than two or three times.
Have a fire extinguisher handy if you motor backfires and the carb throws a flame.

I have a sunny, YY50QT-6, it will start but when I give it gas it cuts off, I think it may be the spark plug but I can't locate it

it is carburetor. If it was spark plug you would not be able to get it started at all. If you know engines then you can get a carb rebuild kit, which will include gaskets. They problem you are having is that the gaskets in your carb have failed, letting air in instead of fuel, so your engine is not transferring the negative pressure to draw the full amount of fuel, thus you can start and idle, but any throttle just lets in too much air.
