Hi all, many different problems here...
Q: I bought a 2g storage card for my HTC S710 but my phone keep on sending an Alert your phone is running low on free storage space - why is this?
A: its not the memory card that's full its the phone memory, copy some of the pictures music etc over to the card also programs you have installed remove them and reinstall them on the memory card
Q:I have inserted a 4gig sd card in my phone and it did not read, cause I keep getting the same message saying, memory full. My service provider said it was too big and I should by a 2gig sd card. I did and I have the same issue. I have read the posts and solutions posted. Someone posted ( go to file explorer , menu , storage card. ) That does`nt help me cause when i select storage card it opens a blank . There is no where for me to see the memory of the card. So if anybody can help, I would appreciate it tremendously. Thanks, Clint
A: firstly your provider is talking rubbish, these phones will take SDHC and accept theoretically up to 32GB cards.
The card will be blank if there is nothing on it.... see the above answer regarding full memory.
As a test to see if you can actually see the memory card, go to the camera app and change storage to storage card and take a few pics, then go back to file manager.. if you get an error when trying to switch locations in the camera app, there may be a fault on the phone.
Q:Got an HTC S710 and transferred the microsd card I used on my 'old' Nokia and the HTC does not recognize it. Two issues:
1. Can't afford to format the card as it is already packed with 'useful' stuff
2. Manual has nothing on using the sd card except installation. Any hints & tips ?
A:the card may need formating, this will need to be done with a card reader on a PC, at the same time you can copy the information you need to keep to the pc. After its been put into the s710 and the folders have been created you can copy the stuff you wanrt back onto the card.
But remember software that worked on the Nokia wont run on the windows phone, only pictures an music will be useable

I had the same problem where the HTC S710 was not happy with
Solution: insert the card into an adaptor which allow you to plug into your PC card reader, once the PC recognize it, then format it using FAT rather than FAT32 or NTFS, once finished formatting, take it out from the PC and plug it into your S710, go to file manager, press menu and you will see the option storage, change your camera storage from main memory to storage, you will have almost 1500 pictures spaces available for you. I bought a 2gig card and tried to install it but the thing would not pick up at all. It turned out that the card was not all the way in. Check that you have the card the right side up obviously and then click it in, when it makes that first click use a pen and gently push it further without forcing the card. Use your phone information page to check if the card is in the system.
