Question about Televison & Video

I have got a samsung sp43w6hp rear projection tv and it has been fine, but it had been not used for about 3 weeks and now when i turn it on and take it off stanby the red light comes on but the picture does not come on at all. When the tv comes on it hould make a beep sound but doesnt even do this either. thanks daryl

    thanks, but doesnt do anything at all just has the red stanby light on the front, no pic comes up what so ever

Try accessing other video sources. If still no video, try to access menu, still nothing -- have unit serviced by pro/tech

Convergence adjustments


Replace both convergence ICs nuber STK392-040 that should take care of the problem. you can get new replacement ICs at the following link and they will send free instalation instructions with pictures so you can install the new ICs. heres the link.

This is very common in Samsung DLPs. The DMD board is going bad. You will need to replace it.

Crackling Sound

Will not turn on


same problem , goes in to safety mode to prevent any more damage to the set. tech was able to get a picture colours all over the place replaced conversion parts on board went fine for 2 weeks then the same would not turn on , came on by its self colours all over the place smelt burning . back to square one.
Tech arrives again today doesn't look good this a $8500 tv
4 years ago and i'll have to pay the tip fee.
