Your pump is either triggering an alarm that is shorting it out or it is overheating
My only solution at this point is to first comment on how you said you added more salt.
I am not sure how you figure your salt so if you do not do it this way I will just tell you what need done
You need a salt test kit that reads #'s not colors. The amount of salt that is in the manual is just that you must fine tune it yourself
get your water to 3000ppm as possible
under 2800ppm and you will not generate enough chlorine anything above 3500ppm can corode your plates even if they look clean you can also go cloudy not to mention taset bad
If this does not work for your pump then if I may suggest finding your receipt or a bank statement
for the pool/pump/generator, however you bought the system
as long as it is a day under 2 years you can call intex
they will e=mail you a form fax it back with the information they ask for and they will send a new one to your door in just a few days
They are really good about the warranty

well I turn it on, set it for 3 hours and after about 5 minutes it shuts off. No error message, no alarms. I have to unplug it, and then plug it back in to get power again. Also the last couple of weeks it has been on/off on producing chlorine. I added some more salt and that seems to help but yesterday it started with this power problem and not producing chlorine again. I soaked the plates in vinegar, and cleaned the filter, retightened the hoses. The pump is only 2 years old. I have no idea what else to do. I also tried plugging it into another outlet, but it still turns off. HELP!!!!
