The dvd player was working fine but stopped. The red light is on, it is making noise but it will not power on (the green light won't come on) I have tried pushing both the button and the remote. I have checked for loose cords but it is an attached cord and there is power. If the house fuse was not working the red light would be off and the tv/cable box would be off.

Reset you player by doing the following:
With the player on, hooked properly to your television, and on the correct station:
Open the tray
Close the tray (with no DVD inserted)
Hold the stop button down for a full 5 seconds
The CyberHome screen should appear. You should be able to play your dvd's now.
do you see the laser light come on when the disk spins if not it has probably lost power or failed, if so sometimes the laser head gets moved to close to the drive mechanism and the motor cant pull it out. i have found several of these that had this problem.
I had the same problem, After googling for a few minutes I found the reset procedure for this player.
1. Turn it on. 2. Eject any disk you have in there and close the tray. 3. Hold down the "STOP" button on the player (not remote) until the green light flashes red and the system reboots. 4. Insert disk and enjoy.
I have a COBY DVD player TF-DVD7005 that hadn't been used in a while. When I charged the battery and the light went from red to green, nothing happens when I push play and the DVD doesn't spin. Could the battery be dead despite the green light and where would I get a new one?
