Question about Gestetner Copier

Touch screen only works part time....model #DSc525 Gestetner. When we try to scan something...the touch screen wont work. We reset it, unplug it, etc......but on somedays it will work!! Ahhhhhhhh!

Hello np.Here's the deal.You have a Gestetner DSc525 color copier/printer etc... .The actual manufacturer of your device is Ricoh.Ricoh makes fine equipment, and to make a long story short they market their equipment under several names(Ricoh,Gestetner,Savin,Lanier and others).As it is that I work for a Savin dealership we are accutely aware of the problem you speak of.Ricoh sent our company a palette of "touch screens" before we were fully aware of the avalanche of service calls we were about to get regarding the exact problem you are speaking of where the touch panel will either work intermittently or just go wheels up and not respond at all (which will happen to you soon).They are aware of the problem as the sub contractor they employed to make these touch screens used the wrong adhesive for the contacts for the touch screen.They sent them free of charge with a full exlpanation of the problem.So, my concern for you is what you need to do to get your problem fixed.I must assume that you purchased this equipment without a service agreement which puts the you in a spot I am not clear on what you should do.If it were me, I would contact Ricoh and explain your problem and ASSURE them that you are aware of the problem that they have acknowledged to be a problem and tell them you want the touch panel sent to you free of charge.Feel free to use this e-mail as backup.The next question is who is going to install it once its sent.Although it does not require an electronics degree to make this repair it will require a certain amount of ......electo/mechanical expertise and the panel will need to be calibrated which is BY NO MEANS intuitive as you must go into a "Service Mode" that is not available to the untrained. The smb version on windows 7 is new than the one on XP. You will need a firmware upgrade.

Touch screen issue


scan for any virus.
reconfigure the touch sensitivity in control panel.
above doesn't solve the problem, try reinstalling the operating system.

Would like to know if there's a downloadable print driver for Gestentner DSc525 printer for mac


Ricoh now supply the Gestetner drivers but the DSc525 is not listed. I wonder if this driver would work though.

The touch screen is unresponsive.


Hello!
Try calibrate the touch panel to see if it work.
- Press yellow key
- On the key pad press 1993.
- Press 5 times red key (stay pressing a bit longer on the fifth time)

Then you will see an option to calibrate your touch screen. You will need to press the point.

If this doent work you will need to change the touch panel.

I need to install the gestetner DSc525 on my computer at work. I am not hooked up to it, but others here are. I cannot find the install disk. Is there somewhere I can download it online?


Go to Ricoh Down loads on google and you will see the page for all units there. make sure you selct the correct one for 32/64 bit depending on OS for computer.

My samsung tocco lite touch screen wont work only the buttons and the camera button work i try and touch something on the screen and if it is at the top of the screen it will move if i touch by the bottom...


same thing happen's to mine, and i'v only had mine for two months :O aha, although i believe it's 'cause i got the screen wet, i mean it's happened before but, usually worked but, this time i think that the water dissolved into the phone making the touch screen not work, mine's still not fixed but, trying taking the phone apart and re-building it. That might help. Kayleigh xx

The modem card is faulty. It needs to be replaced.
