Question about AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core Processor - Socket 939 (AMDX23800)

I have Windows 7 Home edition and am having trouble doing a cut and paste or a copy and paste of files from one folder into another. It acts like it is processing but then the top of window indicates "NOT RESPONDING". The paste function never finishes. Is this a known bug in Windows 7? How can I make this work?

Restoring to a month old restore point solved the problem. The black screen finally went away after at least 5 minutes and now the cut and paste works.
    Thanks much

Hello,

this can be caused by resent up date or there might be virus present on your computer which is causing the problem.

Try this: go to start menu, > all programs > accessories > system tool > system restore. When you get to system restore, allow the computer to restore to an earlier point when it was working perfectly, that is, when the cut and paste was function well.

If the restore does not solve the problem, then you can run a virus scan on your computer and restart your computer.

I hope the above solves the problem.

Good luck.

Now I have a really serious problem. I restored back to June 20th which was the oldest restore point listed. I initially built this computer in March. Now when I start the computer after loading windows and before it would normally display my desktop, the screen goes black and just sits there doing nothing.

Let's edit 2 doesn't work with windows 7 I can't install it, can someone help me?

Installing LE2 in Windows 7:

install a newer version of QuickTime than the 6.x included with LE2

run Setup.exe in the "Let's EDIT 2" folder of the LE2 disc
(do not use SetupMgr.exe in the parent folder!)

enter your serial number

continue the installation until the unhandled exception occurs
Error number: 0x80000FFFF
Description: Catastrophic failure
do NOT close the error window yet!
(otherwise the installed files will be deleted)

use the windows explorer and go to C:\Program Files\Canopus\
(the chosen installation location)
rename the "Let's EDIT" folder, for example "Let's EDIT.save"

go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\
rename "Canopus Shared" to "Canopus Shared.save"

make a copy of the desktop shortcut
(copy - paste shortcut)

make a copy of the "Canopus Let's EDIT 2" start menu folder

now click OK in the exception error window and wait a few seconds

restore the "Let's EDIT" folder name

restore the "Canopus Shared" folder name

start Let's EDIT and adjust the settings
especially video standard (NTSC/PAL) and format (DV/DVCAM)
close Let's EDIT

add the following entries to the registry in order to allow installing 3DRT
(adjust DestDir if installed into a different path)
these entries will also allow installing the 3DRT update
(if you have the updated 3DRT 2.01 version that has the improved 3D PIP)

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canopus\Let's EDIT\Installation]
"DestDir"="C:\\Program Files\\Canopus\\Let's EDIT"
"SetupVersion"="2.03"

run install.exe in the "3D RT" folder of the LE2 disc
(or install 3DRT 2.01 instead, if you have it)

Lost my Outlook Express. exe (using Windows XP). How can I download this and can I get all my "saved" folders on my previous account?

Hope you get lucky with this:

Go into your Control Panel and open Folder Options, under the View tab checkmark "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files [Recommended]", click Apply/OK. Now go into Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\System32\dllcache folder and open it. There should be a copy of msimn.exe there. You can right click it, choose Copy then paste it into the C:\Programs\Outlook Express folder.

if nothing happens then, For futher and any other technical troubleshooting contact, virenderhasanaccount@hotmail.com

How do I fix Files/setup/setup.INI is missing or invalid error

You can copy/paste all the Files onto your hard disk, get the setup.ini file from another home edition CD and copy it into the files/setup folder. If the rest of the files fail to copy too then your setup CD is physically damaged. COntact Microsoft and they will charge you a nominal fee to ship out the replacement disk. Zone Alarm will not start up when I turn on my computer?

Hi,
You can ADD the "Zone alarm" executable to your windows startup.
This can be done in 1 simple way.

1. Locate the "Zonealarm.exe" in your "Program files" folder. Usually your Program Files folder will be here "C:\Program Files". Just run a search for "Zonealarm.exe" inside this folder.

2. After locating the "Zonealarm.exe" file, right-click on that file. And select "Create Shortcut".

3. After that you'll find a "Zonealarm.exe" Shortcut file or icon inside the same folder.

4. Just COPY or CUT the shortcut file.

5. Now Right click on the "START" button.

6. Select "Open all users".

7. This will open a windows explorer window. Locate "Programs" folder and Enter it.

8. Inside you should locate "Startup" folder and enter it.

9. Once u ar inside the "Startup" folder, paste the already copied "Zonealarm.exe" shortcut file.

10. That's it. Now try re-starting the system.

Thanks
