You'll find a brief description of things that might have caused this problem. I strongly recommend that NEVER download and install a DLL file from any website.
You'll find lots of solutions on the above mentioned page. I'd recommend the 2 nd Solution that is to download and install Microsoft Visual C++
It'll install the latest version of this DLL in your computer.
I have had this error several times, I always figure it out, but then when it happens again I forget what I did! So, just happened again tonight, and this time I bookmarked the link and saved the steps.
Here are those steps:-
- Reinstall Microsoft Office
- Resolve Corrupted MSVCR80.dll Related Registry Entries
- Restore Deleted MSVCR80.dll File
- Check the Status of System Files
- Restore the System
Downlaod Msvcr80.dll here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr80 Download the zip file, don't download the fixer recommended in this website:
Extract "Msvcr80.dll" to a location on your computer. We recommend you to unzip it to the directory of the program that is requesting "Msvcr80.dll"
If that doesn't work, you will have to extract Msvcr80.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7)
If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place WDSUTIL.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file). Reboot your computer.
Hello ankit_paney, go to this "Website," you can "download the dll. file" that you need. "Remember" to always 'practice' Virus Protection when "downloading files" First 'save the file.' Once the "save is [Complete]; 'scan the file with a "AntiVirus" Software. If the 'scan is clean? You can "Download the file on your Computer" I hope this information is helpful? Thanks for using FixYa, paul7of9." Click here:http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr80
msvcr80.dll is a Microsoft Visual C Runtime file. Try to eliminate the .dll file first as being the culprit.
Type in "download msvcr80.dll" in any search engine, download it, save it to your desktop. Using windows search, locate msvcr80.dll on your system, (usually in c:\windows\system32) and rename it to msvcr.dll.old, then copy the newer file to the same location as the oler one, the reinstall your suspect program, reboot, then try to run the program again.
Download it from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr80
(Click the highlighted text "Click here to go to the download of msvcr80.dll"). Remember where you are downloading it. After the download has been completed, run Yahoo IM setup again, and when prompted for this DLL file, show program the path. When it recognizes the file, the setup should finish the installation (or asks for another DLL file. You can search and download them from the link above and use the same procedure)
Many people have found that when you update to 2007 the msoxmlmf.dll file is moved from c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\office 11\msoxmlmf.dll to c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\office 12\msoxmlmf.dll. When I moved it back to office 11 location everything worked fine. BTW, I had the same error. Good luck Richard
