Question about Computers & Internet
its either your system's hard drive has got some bad sector which is making your computer to hang or your operating system is corrupt.
Try to run the system in safe mode. Restart your computer and constantly press F8 at the beginning of the first black window page. Then a list of booting option will come up, use your keyboard to select "safe mode", then press enter on your key board. Give the system some time to load in safe mode, this might take some time.
If the system successfully loads in safe mode, click start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore. Run the system restore as this will restore your computer back to the time when it was running perfectly.
But if the computer refuses to boot in safe mode, then have it in mind that you will have you re-run windows XP operating system all over again on your computer in other to rectify this problem.
