Question about Citrix GoToMeeting

GoToWebinar interfered with my USB hub connection

I was running a gotowebinar session and all of the sudden my USB hub was disconnecting and reconnecting for no reason. It never does that except for when i'm on a webinar

I am repeating that I bought a Belkin USB 7 hub for flash drives and it was working properly and all of sudden it won't work. does this happen often? What can I do since there is a lifetime warranty?


in that case, use your lifetime warranty because they have their on tools to fix your device and i suppose that they are very familiar with your problems. use the advantage of it. hope that helps!

Hi, you are most likely using a Mac running OS X 10.5 in which case a recent Apple update has broken Java. Please download and install the latest version of Firefox for Mac as it is currently the only web browser which has updated to fix this issue.

When i put the USB cable and connect to the LAP, its not getting charged. How can i solve the problem? do i need to install any software?


Hi - when you say "LAP" I assume you mean laptop or notebook computer. Some computer USB ports do not have sufficient power to charge (or operate) devices like cellphones, GPS, large external hard drives, etc. You may be able to charge if you disconnect all other USB devices that aren't needed to run the computer. In order to get around the problem without having to do all that, either purchase an external charger for the GPS (which may be fairly expensive) or purchase a powered USB hub.

An external powered USB hub looks like a traditional USB hub, except for the fact that it has a power cord to connect to your home power outlets. The power cord will often look like AC adapter. The powered USB hub is ideal because they provide additional USB ports, are fairly inexpensive, they provide all the power for the USB devices that are connect to them (the computer's internal power supply is not used) and it can power or charge devices connected to them without needed the computer to be powered on. Simply plug the USB hub into a USB port, and AC power source - then connect the devices that need a large amount of power to the hub's USB ports instead of the computer's USB ports.

Many powered hubs will work without the power adapter - however they will supply power to the devices connected from the computer's internal power supply.

If you are using a usb hub it could be the problem; try disconnecting the hub. Try to plug the pen drive into a usb port on the pc not on a hub. If the usb hub has a separate power supply make sure it is working. Hope I was of some help, Thanks for using FixYa

USB hub problem.i have a 4-way USB powered hub that has taken it upon itself not to rustle up every now and again on boot-up. Power LED is on but the four green LED's are out and everything connected to it...


Perhaps the problem is not with the powered USB hub but rather the USB port it is plugged into, or the cable connecting them.
Plug the USB hub in using a different USB port on your system or connecting it using a different cable to see if that makes any difference.

Usb hub unsafely unplugged from notebook. now


do one thing boot ur vista without usb hub then go to device manager remove your usb drivers of the hub disconnect the hub from computer, restart notebook, then connect the hub back when windows boot let vista to install the driver of that hub, after that connect your devices one by one ok let me know what happen? :-)

find if you portable deviceshas any SAFETY REMOVE function, if you using hot plyg and unplyg function without firs safety remove it causes this action, same is in flash drives. because writting process is not finished when unplug and last transaction had not been writen and file allocation table has wrong data in it.

Cannot connect as a guest with gotomeeting/gotowebinar


My name is Chris and I work for Citrix Online supporting GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar. We're sorry to hear you are having trouble connecting to a GoToMeeting/Webinar session, but we have some helpful tips should you choose to try and join again:

- If you are unable to connect, exit from the GoToMeeting software completely, and then visit http://www.gotomeeting.com/wizard to download the latest connection wizard.
- Run the connection wizard on your PC, if it tells you that Good connection settings were found, then reboot your PC. If no good connections were found, please give us a call (800-263-6317)
- Once your computer reboots, try to join the meeting again.
- If you continue to have issues, please call us (800-263-6317)

Error message appears "power surge at usb hub port" when I plugin


disconnect your usb hub and connect it directly to your computer and that will eliminate the usb hub if that is causing the problem,
I have worked on these machines a lot and very rarely do you have any usb problems, if it still is giving the same error message after by passing the usb hub, you will need to replace the main PCB on the printer itself
