You may need to load the original driver for audio, which is a Realek High Definition Audio driver. Go here:
and scroll down to Step 2 Select a Download, expand the Original Drivers menu and go to the last one that says summer 2006 original realtek high definition audio drivers. Download and run this and reboot, go back to control panel, sounds and audio devices, and see if it recognizes your audio now.
