Question about Husqvarna Ariens 46 In Deck 20 HP Kohler Engine Hydrostatic Tractor includes "Free B
I have 2001 Husqvarna lawn tractor model YTH1746 that progressively has been harder to get into gear (fwd or rev) until today it will not go into motion. The engine sounds like it is turning a seized belt driving the transmission. is this a common problem with the sealed transmission unit?
does it need a part or replacement or is it a right off for the whole tractor
the engine sounds like its under load when you move the drive lever for motion. when manaually turning the belt by hand the transmission pully for the fluid drive seems very tight when in neutral.
if i engage the lever say in forward to full speed ahead i fear the engine will burn or cut the belt driving the transmission
Those fluid drive transmissions fail on quite a few brands as they all use the same ones....replace the trans...they are expensive but still cheaper than a new mower.
