Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

JVC LT-32DA8BJ LCD TV. Is it possible to turn off/time out the annoyingly large information window that appears when using Ext1/2 or HDMI? This is also present when using analogue TV. Thanks

I don't seem to have "display off" as an option anywhere.

  • datman2 Apr 23, 2008

I have found the solution. There is a "!" key that is not obvious, it looks like a number key. It is the bottom left of the numeric keys.

Press 4 times, for each press a different piece of information then nothing!

Consult your owner's manual. Or it could a locked phase in processor. Try unplugging unit for 1 hour, then try again

Great! -- I will try to remember that

Hdmi on jvc av56p575 any ideas

The first thing to do is try another HDMI source as the source you have now and the TV could possibly be incompatible. If still doesn't work with another device then try cleaning out the HDMI port on the TV because dust on the contacts can cause issues as well. If that all fails then the HDMI receiver on the main board is most likely bad. In that case it is much easier to use the component connections instead. Please take a moment to rate my answer, Thanks...

It all depends on the dvd that you are watching you cant change it to anything bigger than what is was recorded.

You will have to just watch it like it is. I have the same thing with my dvd player its really thin picture its annoying

JVC HD-70FH96 both HDMI problems

Have you been using a flashlight behind the TV. These TV's have a sensor that shuts off the unit when the rear cover is removed (by sensing light). You may have tripped this. I think you can fix this in the service menu somehow but I can't remember.

When The HDMI cables are connected, I use Directv, I have just recently started to have the picture come on and then start flickering and various color bars pop up on screen, then the screen will go black...

It is possible that the HDMI cable is defective. Did you try another cable?

It is also possible that the HDMI port on the TV is failing.

This can be determined by the process of elimination.

Annoying projector noise

I went through a huge hassle about the fan noise on my JVC 52-inch, but they refused to do anything about it. Likewise, the retailer (BuyDig.com) refused to accept a return "once the box has been opened."

The noise is way out of line - we have to turn the sound up all the time to drown out the damned fan. We've tried repositioning the TV, propping it up off the table surface... nothing has helped. The next thing I may try is to build some ducting for it, but it's been this way from day one, and JVC is well aware of the problem.

I'll never buy another JVC product.
