My Whirlpool washer won't pump out water or spin after I opened the lid.

Sounds like you have broken the lid switch, you will need to lift the head to get to the switch, once you see it you will notice how easy it will be to replace it. Good Luck!

Hi i have a whirlpool washing machine that keps coming up with a F05 on display with all lights flashing what does this mean please?????

Hello,

The F5 error code means that during the wash cycle that the computer didnt see a rise in the water tempature...that means that their is a problem with the heating circuit in the washer,it could be a problem with the heat element, thermostat,or control board that wont let the water heat in the wash cycle.

My washer starts lets shuts down with a code of f5

Water Temperature Sensor Error

If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, or the heating element circuit has failed, the "F/05" error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

•Check the Water Temperature Sensor, Heating Element and Element Relay

•Check connections to the Sensor, Heating Element and Relay

Whirlpool Duet 9150.. should I be able to see water in the tub when it is washing? There is no visible water level. The clothes are wet but how do they get clean?

water is drawn THROUGH the clothes. There is a BIT of water in the drum - however the water sprays on the clothes during the wash cycle and draws the dirt/water/detergent THROUGH the clothes.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.

Extremely long cycle

The drying coil that is broken also heats the water during the wash and rinsing phase. Right now it is waiting for the water to heat up, that's why it's pausing. Replace broken heater, they are relatively cheap and can be gotten at repair clinic.com.
