Red dots appearing on every copy on one side of paper

Dell 5100cn. Red dots appear on all documents in exactly the same place (6 of them all in one vertical line). Haven't changed brand of toner. I use Dell. No error messages.

I haven't tried cleaning anything yet.

I'm guessing this is a laser printer so start by cleaning the drum. If you can give us more to go on, such as; make and model of printer? Is this only with one document or every document? are the dots in the same place every time? Have you cleaned the print heads/drum? Have you changed your brand of ink/toner? Does your computer give you an error message when you print? The more information you provide the less of a stab in the dark our answer will be.

When printing black dots appear chaotic, over the entire sheet of paper. What to do?

If the black dots appear on every sheet of paper it could be the fuser unit is wearing out or the drum unit. The way to check that is to stop a print half way through and remove the paper. If they are not there before the fuser unit but after it then it will be the fuser. Or if they are there before the fuser unit it will be the drum unit. If it they only appear specfic to one source then it is likely to be the source of the document. IE copying - check the optical area (scan glass etc). If on incoming Faxes it may well be the sender that has the problem and is just transmitting them to you. Hope this helps.

To reset you will turn on the machine then take a paper clip end gentle push one end into the tiny hole on the right side of the operational panel the screen will change you are waiting for a small dot to appear on the left side of the screen in middle when that dot appears touch the 3 button. the machine will continue to show the code but now go to Utility/Counter button touch it you will see a new setting called maintenance mode touch it touch trouble reset let the machine go though it routine you will see the dot again let it go. Machine should go Ready To Copy if the code comes back get a tech out to look at it you are messing with the fuser the hot part resetting over and over mite catch on fire (Would ruin a perfect good day:)

Error message C0500 Minolta Di2010f can you advice.

Take a paper clip and unbend it. Then stick it in the small hole on the right side of the control panel. The machine will say please wait. after a few seconds you will see a small blue dot appear on the left side of the contol panel, (about middle of the screen) when you see the dot press the down the "3" button a screen will appear, select "Trouble Reset" once done machine will go thur its normal procedure. Once you have ready to copy, turn off the machine agian and turn it back on, if you don't the start button will be flashing continuously, If code comes back then the fuser is shot (Fuser is the hot section of the copier. which fuses the toner to the paper.

Line appears on copies when using the automatic feeder.

You have a piece of dirt or whiteout on the scanner glass. When the paper is moving by, it creates a "Line" if the paper is sitting still on the glass, it may be a dot or it may even use a different glass alltogether for ADF vs Paltten scanning.

2 lines down the right side of paper - sharp 1641 CS copier

Your problem is most likely not the drum.
Can you make a copy on the glass itself and the lines DO not appear?
if yes this confirms it is not from the drum. Open the top and look at the Small strip of glass : is it dirty or have two dots, white out or Anything on there???? clean w/ alcohol. Any dots will look like lines when making a copy because the paper is moving on the glass.
If the lines are still coming out even on the glass then take a look at the Fuser (exit where it gets hot) are the rollers smooth and uniform or are they scratched???
