I put the scanner cable back on and now I get a noise, and have not had a chance to get back to it. I am working it on the side. I have not forgotten about you. What could that be? I did not take the cable off.
Hello,
I can truely understand that you have got one of the most frustrating problem one can ever get with his/her All-in-one printer.
In order to get rid of that noise what you can do is take that cable completely out of its socket. Blow some air over it so as to clean any dirt and then re-fix it to it's original position.
In almost all cases it has been seen that if this doesn't fix it, the problem lies with the motor.
You can get a replacement motor from HP if your printer is in warranty for free or you can also purchase it. I am providing you one of the sources.
Purchase motor.
The above is the link from where you can get information for purchasing the motor.
There is also a second plan. I am providing you the link of HP support where you will get the Step-by-step guide how to troubleshoot this problem.
HP manual for troubleshooting this error.
Hopefully this all fixes it for you.
I am eager to here from you what happens. I am following up.
Have a nice day.
Regards.
