Go to the Linksys website, download the NEWEST drivers for your camera and operating system. It seems that you've got a driver problem. Maybe there's a patch that's needed. You might check with Microsoft to see if there is.
As for Explorer 8, you should normally stay away from Microsoft software as a rule of thumb. Their stuff is buggy and full of holes. Are you "locked" into using Explorer? Use another browser!!! Use Mozilla, or Firefox, maybe Opera, anything but Explorer!
If that doesn't resolve your issues, then I would begin looking at the hardware. Specifically, the camera and cabling. Try with a different camera (same Maker and Model). Maybe the issue is with THAT camera and works fine with another. Same with the cabling, try a known good cable, or better yet, a NEW cable. Eliminate the variables, narrow down the problem!

1. Go into control panel
2. Open internet options
3. Click onto the advanced tab up at the top.
4. Click reset. (its just above apply)

Its most likely an old browser plug-in that is clogging it and that will remove it.

Internet explorer 8 keeps shutting down

Hi,

You can easily fix the issues with the Internet Explorer closing in your computer by checking the reason for the issue. If the issue is caused due to any installed plug-in, you can remove the plug-in from all the unnecessary or trouble creating plug-ins installed in your IE8. If you have malware issues in your computer, you can install a good antivirus program in your computer. Then you can scan and fix all the malware threats in your computer after updating it. The issues with your temporary files can be fixed by deleting all the files in your temporary Internet folder. If you have any file corruption, you can perform a repair installation after fixing all malware threats in your computer.
