Could be several reasons, I'd go for

1) Power surge. or 2) Component quality.

Does the jl audio 250/1 have any internal fusing that would affect output . my buddy hooked up booster cables backwards and it did blow main fuse at battery but now lights are on and noboby is home.

I have seen circuit traces litterally burn up from reverse polarity. Also the capacitors on the 12 volt main line can smoke and causing the DC/DC circuit not to function. Traces can be repaired with the proper sized copper tape and capacitors are cheap. The only way to be sure is to open the unit up, look for strange liquids and evidence of burn or fire.

UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY

UPS – UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY
Uninterruptible power supplies provide protection against mains power faults to computer equipment.
These faults include voltage spikes/interference, over voltage and under voltage, mains supply interruptions and surge protection etc.
These faults can cause computer and electronic equipment that are connected to an unprotected mains supply to malfunction and/or sometimes fail.
A common problem, when burning Cds, DVDs etc. any slight power interruptions to the burning process will halt the recording process and rendered the disc useless.

There two type of Uninterruptible Power Supplies
The lower powered and cheaper type UPS are switch-over types, when the mains supply fails, the UPS switches over to the batteries and inverter in milli-seconds which then supplies mains power to the computer and peripherals. A faulty inverter circuit and or flat batteries won’t deliver standby power when the mains supply fails.
NOTE : The mains waveform from these UPS is a pseudo sine wave (i.e. not a true sine wave).
The true UPS types are usually the higher KVA units (over 1500 VA) that supply continuous mains power. The mains power is connected to a charger which charges the batteries and then the inverter draws power from these batteries and converts it to true sine wave mains power to the computer equipment, therefore there is no switch over time lag when the mains supply fails.

Protect light on amplifier

Oh dear! Protection system has detected a short in the main power amp. The water has caused a great deal of damage. You will have to replace all the parts that have been damaged. Your nose will lead you to where to look.

The protection circuitry has been activated 3 times consecutively and as a safety precaution, capability to turn on the power is disabled.

If there is no apparent cause for the protection mode activating (such as shorted speakers, burning smell, blown fuses, lighting strike or mains power surges), reset the protection as follows and see what happens.

Connect power cord to mains and wait 5 seconds or so. While holding down "info" and "tone control" buttons, press "main zone" power button briefly and release, but keep "info" and "tone control" buttons pressed for at least 3 more seconds. The unit should power up. Assuming the reason for the protection has passed or been fixed, the unit can now be turned off and then back on with the "main zone" power button to restore normal operation mode.
If the protector activates again, the fault is still present and the unit needs to be repaired, ideally by a Yamaha authorised repairer.
There are dangerous voltages present in high power amps and a lot of grunt in terms of stored energy - best left to trained technicians.

Mains supply fuse blows

Hello
There is some short circuit with the power switching regulator section. Check the MOV [Metal Oxide Varistor] connected accross the main AC power line, on board. This device will look like a ceramic capacitor, usually green or black in color. If any voltage spike comes over, this device will get shorted, and the fuse will burn off; thus it is used as a protection against overvoltage and current spikes. If it is alright, check the rectifier diodes or stalk rectifer fitted for any reverse short. You can measure the short very easly by measuring the resistance between the two terminals of the main resevoir capacitor. If this point shows any short, check out the revalent components, including the power switchig device, either it is transistor or an STR, whatever may be. Anyway, there is a direct short in your power supply regulation system of your TV. Get it repaired first, before put a new fuse in place. OK.

Goes into protection mode and shuts down

Audio IC main outputs are shot my dear friend ... if you plug your headsets this automatically disconnects your main speaks ... unit should stay on . Once you unplug headset it goes back to main automatically protection is displayed and shut unit off ... going into protection mode is just so the short in the unit won't burn out other stages of the output sector. but outputs must be replace .

An Rca tv turns on then immediately turns off. Rca tv model number 20F512T. It has picture, audio, and no blinking lights. I've checked the main board and no problem what so ever. Nothing burned or loose....

If it turns off going standby, and led is on, then it is on protect, and remaining parts must be tested.

If it turns off completely, and you can restart it with the On button, then the board with controls is faulty.
If it does switch off completely (no light), and only comes back on after unplugging power cord for a while, then there is a different internal fault that is not starting protection circuit , but causing shutdown.
After double checking the PSU board, you will have to test a couple of ICs on main controller board, the deflection circuit and flyback transformer. Check also for broken solder joints and thaces of shorts on all boards and components (eg. burnt areas, blown capacitors), as a short can potentially cause sudden shut down.

Here schematics.

Here all parts for your TV.

F-17 neovo monitor stopped working. power light is flashing yellow

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the Monitor goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1 The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or a broken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then the monitor will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occurr suddenly are a blown capacitor on power board, the inverter board powering up backlight lamp has blown, or a fault on main lcd controller board.
check also the video cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

Check connectors, try moving the video cable, and if the cable is not built in, then also try a replacement cable.
Regards
