That could be a problem with the console, you may need to have someone to look at it, repair shop does the trick, or if its pretty much new ish see if you can get a replacement

My xbox 360 harddrive has failed. the monitor/tv displayed E-68 error how do i fix it?

If the harddrive failed then you'll have to but a new one. You monitor is giving that error code because it isnt receiving a message from the xbox.

My son was playing game and half way it said some kind of error. can't remem what exactly it said. anyways now when you turn it on and load either a game or video you can see its loading but the icon (blue...

It actually might be the game. It could be scratched. Try another game to see if it works, if it still doesn't work next time it shows the error code right it down and call the company.

E68 error code

try removing the hard drive and see if the xbox plays without it.
error 68 could be internal fault or external but is a harddrive fault.
if it plays without the hard drive, you need a new hard drive.
if it still does not work with the hard drive removed, you may have an overheating problem.
this could be fixed by you by following many of the online guides or if you have a warranty maybe microsoft will fix it? the 3 red light fix will fix most red light errors. i would suggest upgrading the fans too if you plan on fixing it yourself.

Red light is flashing on the right lower quadrant. also, a system error note is seen on the screen.

The video dont work and error 86 comes up on the screen

The E86 error code is a hard drive error, remove your harddrive and try powering up. If it works without it, try reformating the xbox 360 harddrive.
THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING:
Settings > System Info and press Y, Up (left stick), Down (left stick), X, A.

If that does not work you may need to purchase a new harddrive, you can get them online, or in most stores.

Bought a new hard drive for the xbox 360 ,and after running the upgrade all I get when I turn it on is a system error and a red light flashing on the console

Take a look at the screen you should find a number for the error code there like E80 or E79.
If it is E80 this means that the update went wrong and that the consoles kernel wasnt flashed completely.
This can often be fixed with an NXE update recovery disc, search for it on Google, you can download it from Xbox.com.

If you are getting an error like E67, E68 ,E69, E79 or something similar it will be harddrive related very likely, disconnect the harddrive and try to power the console if the problem is gone get a harddrive replacement, call Xbox Support they will take care of that...

If you should be getting a different error code take a look at this error code list this will tell you whats causing this certain error and how it can be fixed: http://xbox-experts.com/e/errorcodes.php

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

My PS3 wont allow me to download anything to the harddrive.

This error has been dubed as the Virus error by PS3 users. The hard drive needs to be completely wiped. You can do this by doing the full system restore. (Yea, the one that takes 10 hours) One or more of your files may be corrupted with a very small but lethal file that affects the PS3 but may not affect your PC. If all else fails, try a different hard drive. I hope this helps you. Good luck and happy gaming!!
