The sound on all the movies on our tv is soft voice and loud music. How can I set the volume to be the same for both?

Some TV's have sound settings to empathies voice. If the TV has a centre speaker you can increase the sound output on that. That will make voices louder.
However many people do complain about loud music drowning out voices on TV. The problem is that movies were meant to be seen in cinemas and TV sound systems don't match up to that. If you can't find a solution consider a surround sound system as this will correct the sound problems on movies.

Audio problem streaming media via ROKU and RCA players. Constantly have to adjust volume to hear them talk, but then the music/sound effects blast you out.

It sounds like you're using a set of stereo speakers to play a surround sound output. I would try going in the TV menu and turning off surround sound

The background music is louder than the voices

in the menu there should be some type of set up for this, it will most times show you on your screen a room with all the speakers in it and ask you to hit test then it will shoot a white noise type of sound around to each speaker and ask if you heard it, there are then adjustments you can make for the front, rear, and side sperkers independent of one another.

No audible voices

The problem sounds like a setting miss match , with music it is not so noticeable as it is louder and has higher spectrum of sounds , but with monoliphic voices you pick out the disinction more check your sound utilities program particuarly the graphic equalizer if it has one windows does in sound properties and advanced setings if you have a seprate sound utility ie: hd sound etc check that your effects settings havent been changed ...Regards Vortash

How can I make my Tomtom XL louder as the voice is very soft.

I understand that it's sometime since the original question was asked, but, remastering the voices will allow you to increase the volume.

I know, that statement has not helped much... ;)

You can find all the information needed to implement the above at the following site which explains the whole process of creating or editing TomTom voices:

http://www.capitalnightlife.com.au/tomtom/

Or, to get straight to the creation/editing walkthrough:

I hope to have been some help to all who read this post.

Kind regards,

Richard

your audio setting is set to 5.1 and your do not have enough speakers to hear all the sounds. I suggest to change the setting to 2 speakers and you will be able to hear everything. good luck
