SOURCE: need substitute switch part for sears saw

Sorry , but go buy a new saw. Your not going to find an aftermarket
dealer that carries this switch.

Trying to rig some other switch is not worth the trouble over buying a new one. If the switch is not available, then the saw is old.

Model 13aj771g031 huskee lt4200 lawn tractor 18 1/2 HP engine. 2009 yr. Need to find out deck belt size. Got far enough to find out its part 44 on sears part diagram but that's as far as I got. No size or...

It is a "G" deck which is the 42" Cut.

Deck current part number 954-04060C which is 1/2" x 96-1/2"

Just Google 954-04060 and you find several online suppliers.
Pricing depends on the supplier and if it is OEM or aftermarket.

My craftsman 917.276920 is running very slow

If you mean, that the tractor is moving slow in both directions?Chances are,the motion belt from the transaxle pulley to the pulley at the bottom of the motor. Is slipping,do to,all belts stretch over time. There isn't any adjustments, that can be made to tighten up the belt. You will have to replace the belt. Can order these belts from You will need the Craftsman Tractor Model #. The number usually starts with 917.xxxxxx. If you have the belt part #,that would help also. You don't,have to order on line, most Sears stores has them stocked. Sincerely Brad Locke

    Idler pulley vibrates

Remove the ignition key from the tractor then check the idler pulley with the deck in the up (highest deck setting). if the pulley moves side-to side at all or you can wiggle one side up and down, the pulley shaft is worn or the hole in the center of the pulley is wollowed out from lack of lubrication and dirt getting into the mating surfaces of the pulley and shaft. You should be able to order a new pulley and mount from Sears.

Can not get parts for my 1995 Sears Craftsman Tractor model number 917.254860 ? Sears only carrys a certain kind of part what I need they do not carry .

Go to a small engine repair shop for your part.
Sears tractors are just other tractors (Mostly Murray brand )with the sears name on are most others.
There are only 2 or 3 manufacturers making all the tractors.
Your part should be easily ordered there with your model and serial #.

    I need to replace a belt on a craftsman with a 42" deck.What size belt should I get.What length.

Craftsman is made by Murray Corp. who also makes Murry, YardMan, Lowes, Penncraft, and on and on. Go to your local Wal-Mart, Lawn and Garden Dept. and look for the belt that fits the Murray, YardMan, Lowes, Toro, 42" Deck 14-18 HP. Or take your old belt with you, and stretch them both end to end holding the end loops with each hand. Or you could go to Sears and just tell the parts department what your mower is and they can get you a Craftsman belt. It will be the same one you get at Lowe's, Wal-Mart, ect, probably just cost a little more. Sears doesn't make mowers, they just have their colors and names put on by the manufactorer. And Murray of Ohio is the maker of these.

Sears lawn tractor tubeless tire replacement

Most local tire shops have or can get tires and tubes of the size you want/need and would install them as well. Without the proper tools, they can be a "bear" to change but if you insist upon doing it yourself, go to a GOOD lawnmower repair shop and have them order the sizes for you. It has been my experience though, the tire shops are cheaper
