While playing my unit we had a brief power outage. When the power supply returned the " PROTECT PUSH POWER " message comes on. Is there a button that I can push to reset my unit-LBT-X50 .

Your sound system may have a circuit breaker.
Check the rear of the sound system for a circuit breaker that has popped out, Then push it back in.
It may be labelled.
  • circuit breaker
  • protect push power
Otherwise unplug your unit from the wall and wait 5min before you plug it back in, then press the power button on the front of your system and your remote control.

I hope this helps

Please help me i have a problem with my hifi .i got the message protect push power

This indicates a load problem in the system, turn power off! remove all speakers and wires, now turn the receiver on "this will reset the safety circuits" and turn the volume right down, If the word protect stays off it means there is a short in the speaker wires or one of the speakers. Now if the word protect comes on when you turn the receiver on "with all wires and speakers dis-connected" then it proves one or more of the audio output ic's are shorted, this is where a technician will be needed to further assess the situation.

How do I reset? I keep getting "prot" message when trying to turn unit on. It keeps shutting not overheating.

The prot is the protection warning message that the amplifier defaults to when there is a problem. Try this: Turn the volume control WAY down. Disconnect your speaker leads from the rear of the component. Turn the unit on and see if it still protects itself. If the protection still comes on the amplifier is bad and needs serviced. If it appears OK, then connect one pair of speakers at a time to see which set has the problem. Usually the wires not the speakers themselves are the trouble.

Message displays push power protect, pls help

That is the common symptom of the defected STK-IC in power amp.section that busted already or just a lost contact.First try to resolder the pins of STK-IC if its works! if not that is the time you replace it, so it works normal again.

Hope it may helps you...

Power Protect still comes on now and again

Amplifier output chip in stereo is defective and unit gives error message of push power protect.
You need to replace output amplifier IC and check supplied voltages.
