Question about Sony 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Memory Card

2 Answers

I were on holidays last weekend and after taking about 600 pics, when i want to review my photo, the screen started telling me there was an 'error with memory stick'. Now it's telling me 'error formating memory stick'. I really dont want to lose these pics so i've been careful not to tamper with the stick. Does anyone know if i can save these pics somehow? thanks in advance

Wow, that's the first time that I heard of a Memory Stick Pro 4gb failing for someone. Try to take the memory stick pro to Walmart photo center to see if they can read the pictures. If they can't (or your local drug store) I don't know who can.

Good luck on this.

What is the significance of this bank holiday was it to do with the Queen mother

The spring bank holiday started as the Monday after Pentecost. This is known as Whitsun or Whit Monday in the United Kingdom. The Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, moved this bank holiday to the last Monday in May, following a trail period of this arrangement from 1965 to 1970.
In 2002 this bank holiday was moved to June 4 to follow an extra bank holiday on June 3. This gave people a four-day weekend to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. This marked the 50th year of her accession to the throne of the United Kingdom. The spring bank holiday will also be moved to June 4 in 2012 to form a long weekend together with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee bank holiday.

Somehow our pics got deleted from our memory card...PLEASE tell me there is a way we can retrieve them! We do not know how it happened! We were trying to download the pics and just plugged in the cord and...

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

Samsung SL310w Camera last day of holiday and Card error came up, can I retrieve my pics anyway. I had taken about 100 pictures. The card is and Optima SD 2GB which came with the camera. HELP PLEASE - PICS...

Take the card to a store that has a Kodak picture maker kiosk (like Walmart). Your pictures should show up and you can print them or even make a cd. After you do that, format the card in the camera before using it again.

Camera won't permit review of pictures

Hello Charlie, Hook your camera directly to your PC with the USB cable, The computer should see Kodak Easyshare, Double click on it to open and check in the folder shown for your photos and down load or delete them as you wish. As far as the SD card error it sounds like possible camera firmware problem,go to Kodak website under support for Dx7590 for the firmware and instructions.
Best Regards, Russell

Pics appear on camera screen but not on card

If you can review the photos on the card while it is still in the camera (and by review, I mean go back and forth between multiple photos on the card), then there are two possibilities: 1. The photos really are on the card, and your computer can't read the card. 2. The photos really AREN'T on the card, and are perhaps in internal memory on the camera instead. Some thoughts for things to try: 1. Put the card in the camera, take a few photos, make sure you can review them all on the camera. Take the card out. NOW try reviewing photos on the camera with NO card in. What happens? 2. Try putting the card in your card reader in your computer. Copy a file (any file, a word document, anything) from your hard drive onto the card. Is it there? Can you copy the file back off the card to somewhere else? It sounds like the camera is fine, and the problem is with the card or the media reader.
