T is easy to add a background picture by using the Watermark feature. First, you will click on “Page Layout”. In that menu bar (or ribbon), click on “Watermark”. A window menu will open. At the bottom of that window menu, click on “Custom Watermark”.
In the new menu that opens, check “Picture Watermark”, then “Select Picture” to find an image file on your computer to use. You have the option to have the picture look faded, as a watermark, or displayed in its full color. Check “Washout” for the faded option, or uncheck, to view the background picture in its full glory.
You will then need to choose the size of your background picture, by selecting one of the options under “Scale”.
To remove the watermark, simply click “Watermark”, and choose the “Remove Watermark” option.
Even if you don’t choose the “Washout” option, the background image will appear faded while you are working on your page. But, if you view the page through “Page Preview”, you can see how the background will look when printed.
To get to the "Page Preview" command, click on the How to Add a Background Picture to a Microsoft - button.jpgOffice Button on the upper left hand corner of the Word 2007 screen. Move your cursor over the "Print" option, and another menu will open to its right. On that menu, click "Print Preview".

What are some questions you can ask an applicant to determine if they know Excel 2007, Microsoft Word 2007, etc. Do you have any sample questions? Thanks

General Questions:
What is Microsoft Word used for?
How would i create a new document in MicWord07?

More in depth:
I would like to create a news article using Microsoft Word 2007. How would i change the fonts, spacing, portrait to landscape, and add a picture?

How would i permanently change MicWord07 from its default saving format to another?

I personally do not know anything about excel.

Generally, ask simple navigation questions, then ask very indepth questions on how to do something an average user wouldnt know how to do. Like changing the default file format.

Hope this helps!

What is the meaning of X in the word DOCX?

The X stands for XML (Extensible Markup Language), which is the programming language behind the scenes in Office 2007 programs.
Previous versions of Word were based on binary data. Binary data is, by nature, prone to corruption, and "bloated."
By changing the background code, Microsoft was able to create new tools and features in Word 2007 that would not have been possible otherwise.
