Question about Motorola Mobility W220 Cellular Phone

2 Answers

Unlocking phone that is working.

I have a motorola w220 which I got from a friend who had gone to another network. I put my sim card in it and it works fine except when I try to redial a previously dialled number or look at missed calls using the green dial key, the phone just asks for "Phone Lock Code" If I go into menus and select the "Recent Calls" icon, the same thing happens.
I love this phone and they are no longer for sale here. The unlock code that the phone wants has been installed by the old owner, he used the last 4 digits of his cell no but cannot remember what they are.
Please help.

I have a motorola v9 and I bought the unlocking code but, when I put the new sim to put the unlocking code it says contact operator, and don't let me put the unlocking code. what can I do? thanks

Hello,
You may contact your network provider Motorola RAZR2 v9 Unlock Code it can open up all networks where you want to use your GSM phone and don't have to stick to one network. Once your phone is unlocked, it will work with any GSM carrier worldwide. You can check this theyare trusted, fast and friendly.

Hope this will help.

Thanks.

My mobile is asking for the puk number and i dont no it

A request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times incorrectly.

Your SIM card will then become "PUKed" or Blocked. This is a security measure to protect your service.

You need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM card.

Unlocking procedure

I think you need to insert the original Sim card that was used when you set the code.  The code is stored in the card. Once you have done that and unlocked the phone, the phone will work with all other Sim cards.  Just remember if you set the code you have to use the card that was in use at the time.

You can take the phone to a shop and they might be able to clear it.  They have special software for that purpose, that isn't readily available to all.
