RCA R52WM24 52 in. tv issues

My husband went in the kitchen to fix our son a glass of chocolate milk walks back in the room and the tv has the 3D effect and is displaying th epicture in four different colors. And when you shut it off and turn it back on it does these colored wavy lines. We got this tv in January of 2007. It isn't that old. It really shoudln't be doing this. But, we can't figure out what is going on either. An unfortunately RCA can sell electronics but can't have a call center open for the issues their items can have. Do you knwo anythign we can do? Or try?

Thats a convergence issue. Your model should still be under warranty. Call RCA and inform them that you need the number for the nearest authorized repair center that handles their warranty work.

Milk chocolate has other fats in it and may affect the melt.

There are videos here. Se how they compare to what is happening on your machine.

How do you make iced hot chocolate?

  1. Pour milk into blender.
  2. Add hot cocoa mix and ice.
  3. Blend first at low speed and then high speed until ice is finely crushed and slushy.
  4. Pour into tall glass and top with whipped cream and a dusting of hot cocoa mix, if desired.
  5. Serve with a straw and enjoy!
  6. P.S. This recipe was originally posted using small ice cubes. At our shop we have a commercial blender that has no problem getting through these. Since most people have regular blenders, I have changed it to crushed ice.

I have an RCA HD52W59 HDTV and my kids were watching the other day and all of a sudden the screen went bad. The sound is ok and you can still see the picture however it looks like your watching in 3D...

This is normally an easy fix. I've fixed several of these. When you get the back off of the set, there are 3 small square brown fuses located at the back left corner of the set, if looking at it from the back. They are located next to the right side of the flyback transformer( the large gray or black thing sticking up with the thick red wire coming out of the top). One of those fuses will be open and needs to be replaced, and the pins on the flyback transformer need to be resoldered on the bottom of the board. They will come loose and make the fuse blow. This will fix the problem 95% of the time on this set.

My rca projection tv has blue and green images like a 3D picture would without your 3D glasses, a double vision image and no other colors

sounds like the sensors are out of focus and your red sensor isnt turning on. look in the back of the tv for a master reset button or in your menu screen some sort of "Flash focus" or "convergence". They will realign the 3 sensors.

Picture is all distorted ,colors dont match up need 3d glasses to watch

HI, this is basic convergence failure. the convergence board controls the RGB stream and , if its malfunctioning or, the convergence chip set is damaged, it will distort the entire display and the colors will not be regulated correctly as you are experiencing at this time.

simply replacing the convergence board in this unit will fix your issue.

Picture looks like 3D without 3D glasses on???

The cost I don't know, but this can be fixed. I'd say shop around a bit. Make sure the repair person is certified for your TV's manufacturer. There are generally 3 lamps in projection T.V.'s, Red, Green, and Blue. They have to be aligned for the TV to project a clear picture. A credible TV repairman should be able to fix it. Depending on if it's new enough to be under warranty they may cover it as well. Really the only reason to get rid of it is if you want to get a new TV anyway. Depends on the cost of having the lamps aligned.

Door glass EXPLODED -- by itself while micro NOT BEING USED since a.m.

This has happened a few times before.

I would bet it's due to too tight a fit or shirnkage on the plastic frame around the glass.
