Have had this lap top for right at 2 years,, just last few days, when I try to hibernate, it takes a long time to shut down, then when I start to "wake" it up, it shows that there was an un-nessary shut down and do I want to start in safe or normal mode,, I start in normal mode, takes a long time but does seem to be ok, until I try to hibernate again thanks,

I don't know about the long shutdown time but I may be able to speed up the startup time.

(Assuming you have Windows Vista or 7)
Go to the Start menu and in the "Search" field type in "msconfig" (without the quotation marks" ")

Click the on "Boot.Ini" tab and check "NoGuiBoot". Now on the right where it says "timeout" change the 30 secs. to 15 secs.

Now click on the Startup tab. Tell me all the processes that are on here. If there's more than 15 or so then it's no wonder your computer is starting up slowly. This should dramatically speed up your PC and improve performance.

HP G70 laptop screen turns on and off on power up out of hibernation

The simplest solution to this is to simply not hibernate. Try shutting down or sleeping. If this still does not work, try updating all of your drivers or reinstalling windows.

First 2 of your problems are due to the fact that your laptop enters hibernation (or hybrid sleep in windows 7) and windows cannot restore your last saved state. The 3rd problem indicates you have windows problems (bad/not updated drivers, filesystem corruption, application issues). I would suggest you to reinstall windows.

sounds like it's hot older plasma tv's are prone to being full of dirt and dust
try using a can of compressed air on it bottom to top if you get a lot of dust may be it is time to take it to the local garage and get your mechanic to give your tv a ******* and buy him a coffey or a soda pop
heck most garages have compressed air and no i dont mean the tire pump out front
go in to the guy who take care of your brakes have him do it
heck i buy my mechanic coffey all the time i usualy take him my lap top and my desk top 2 times a year each
btw my power supply in my mail server is 5 years old and runs 24/7

Acer Aspire 3610 plugged in closes down

I would suggest you just plug it in and do not power on the laptop for a few hours. Then try. If it persists reboot into safe mode and disable hibernation then reboot

Compaq Presario R4000 Notebook won't boot

Seem to be a problem with your power switch doing malfunction or bad motherboard connector or your computer has been setting at hibernate mode. Check those settings going to >> Start >> Control Panel >> Power Options..........Set your droplist to "never: and also UNCHECK the hibernate mode.

Another tip, take out the battery, and see what happen (only connected with AC)
