Take it back, there is clearly an issue of crafmanship or workmanship. it needs to be exchanged. if you didn't buy it from a reputable store or baught it from a friend and they don't want it back then it looks like you lost out. it probably burnt a fuse but that was caused by something else. you may have to take it to a repair shop to get it fixed if you cannot return it.
