Question about Acer Aspire 4315 Notebook

1 Answer

Accidentally dropped my computer, tried turning it on and it asked if i wanted to start my computer with system recovery or just usual the usual bottup, and I choose the usual. It took me to the system recovery anyway and now no matter what I do it just goes to the system recovery. How do I fix it?

Try to turn off the laptop. Remove the cables and battery to it. Press and hold the power button for 8 secs. Reinsert the cables and battery on the laptop. Turn on the pc If it still go to the system recovery, then that is the time to call ACER and have your pc repaired since your pc dropped. If you have the warranty, they will check on this issue immediately.

Where are a number of way to do this on a Pavillion. However, HP has not standardized this procedure. The following are three ways they have setup to do it.

A Recovery menu will appear.
Click on "NEXT" and then click on "YES"
Your system will now go through the product recovery

or

Starting recovery within Windows XP
From the Desktop, click "START".
Then "ALL PROGRAMS"
Then "HP TOOLS"
Then Click on "HP PC SYSTEM RECOVERY"
You will now be asked "Do you really want to start HP PC System Recovery?"
Click on "YES" to continue.
Your system will now go through the product recovery.

or

on start up try clicking F10 for System recovery.

Sorry for any confusion but I am not HP.

Hope this helps you.

Try doing a system restore and it that doesn't work, try doing a system recovery.
For doing system restore, power on the netbook and keep tapping F8.
This will take u in to the Windows advanced options.
Try safemode.
While getting in to safemode, it will ask u whether u want to use system restore.
Start system restore and select a date in which the computer was working fine.

To do recovery, power on the netbook and keep tapping Alt+F10.
That will take u in to the recovery mode.
Select complete system recovery.
This process will take around 30 to 45 min and make sure u plug in the AC adapter.

System Recovery

System recovery is a blank-slate wipe of the HDD and reinstallation of all programs the PC came with. Are you SURE this is what you want?

ALL your data, files, pics, music, vids, folders gone.

If this is not what you want, then buy an external USB drive and save over to it that which you want to keep FIRST. Then we can do a Sys Recovery.

Alls that is is forcing your PC to boot from the Disk#1 of the CD kit, and folllowing instructions. It is easy but feel free to email me if you need help

Cheers

I suggest you try using SYSTEM RESTORE first

start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.

select restore to an earlier time (or similar) then select the date you want to restore to. Select a date/time PRIOR to when you deleted the program you want.

This may restore your system. it does not restore data or files that were deleted though..
